Question about Detroit 2002
«

Did Axl leave the stage early or something? I read how the setlist did not include the last couple of songs including Paradise City. Were things fucked up or something?

We didn't get Nightrain or Paradise City, but we did get Rhiad and the bedouins.

Rhiad sounded okay, I don't think it's that great of a song. It's just cool to see anything new played.
And, as far as I could tell, Axl got mixed up during Patience and started fucking up the lyrics. Probably because he ran backstage every 5 seconds. So, he gets frustrated, finishes Patience, and politely says, "Thanx, goodnight".
End of show. No confetti. No Paradise City

I think he fucked the words on Rhiad up.
He did this on Patience as well, which afterwards he threw his mic up in the air and walked off for the solo.
He came back for the end, but then tossed themic and said good night.

I was not there, but I have the video. I dunno if he had some problem with his ear piece or just the teleprompters. But there was something going wrong there. He didn't fuck up only Rhiad and Patience, he also did that with Chinese Democracy. He fucked up 3 songs in a row. I guess they played Rhiad because everything was going wrong and they just wanted to have some fun playing something new.

The show had to start late, because CKY got held up at the airport or something. The opening acts still played their whole set. As it often happens that ment the show had to end. they had a time limit. (thats the way I heard it)

I was there, whole concert was good, I thought, there seemed to be confusion during patience-by him screwing up lyrics, or band messing up-ended on a real downer-lights came right on-I was worried-had tickets for Cleveland 4 nights later-but they came in Cleveland with a whole new energy-it just seemed like they were out of energy, out of synch in Detroit-don't get me wrong, it was still a good concert-crowd was into it the whole time.

After the Patience and in the middle of it, he threw his mic twice, and in the end he said thank you, goodnight and left!

Robin was very spooked by Axls behavior..his solo for 'patience' just has to be heard to be believed, I think he strapped a cat to the guitar and tortured it

Axl made a mistake with the lyrics in 'Patience' and it kinda through the whole band off. As for 'Riyadh', let's just say it wasn't the best version. Axl kept repeating the lyrics...

So Axl gets mad, walks off stage, and screws over the fans....again. All because he CAN'T remember the lyrics to his own freakin' songs. One of which has been around since the late 80s! I know all the damn words to Patience and I didn't even write it!! Are we sure that we want Asshole Rose to comeback?

Sure it was only 2-3 songs but they are the fucking show closers, dumbass. If I were there I would have been let down with no Paradise and etc. How can you stick up for an indeffensible act?
