i have just been listen to jimi hendrix
and i thing hes cool the way he played his guitar aswell as setting them on fire
so wot do u think of him do u like jimi or do u hate jimi

I like some of his songs that he doesn't do crazy solos in like CrossTownTraffic

Well.. what can I say? The guy is simply an amazing guitarrist, with a lot of extraordinary songs. He was too cool for anything back then and still is! Hey, just look at my avatar - is he cool or what? 

But I don't really like the pyrothecnics. He was cool engough just playing and singing.

Try the Island Of Weight DVD. It's easy to find and worth every second. He didn't brake anything nor set fire on his guitars, but he made some amazing performances - just look at Spanish Castle Magic and All Along The Watchtower. Even with sound problems, this is one of his best gigs IMO.

No, he deserves any praise. Without him, we could be on guitar's stone age.
