You meant Douggie Goldstein.

Like Bruce Springstein...

Well... I really don't know what happened to this yes-man, it's a long time since he didn't phone to me.

He was fired because he fixed dates for a European tour Axl didn't know about. At least it's what Axl said, mentioning that he found those GN'R dates on the Internet and he was quite surprised - GN'R touring?

I don't know if Doug is still around, but I do know that Doug was there after the whole tour dates thing. I personally met him at The Joint shows!! Which were after that!

He was mentioned in the letter in NME after the Leeds show in 2002.

Doug was not fired.? In fact, he was promoted.? He is now Co-president of Sanctuary Management Inc (along with Peter Asher).? When he got that promotion, he left the day to day management of his acts to other people.? He passed off GnR to Merck (I know, that makes little sense to me, too, since merck is the CEO of Sanctuary Group...but that's what happened).? I hear that Doug still keeps tabs on his old acts (well, as pres I'm sure he keeps tabs on ALL the bands in their portpolio, but I hear he keeps closer tabs on the bands he used to manage), and will occasionally get involved, personally, in some of their "stuff", but, again, by and large leaves the day to day stuff to the groups managers.
