Which one? Amsterdam and me are no strangers uh...sister. I have judged there during the holidays. My place is the grey area. Of course Cafe 36 for desert. They have the best cakes dont they.

GNR fans should definitely go to the Doors shop. GNR pinball and lots of old pictures of the boys there. Very cool GNR respect there. Aaah Amsterdam...

what is this thread about again  smoking

Oh yea Metallica. I lsitened to the tracks again and I dont think they are about Axl. If they are its to subtle to even be relevant.

Hehehe, I uh... can't remember the name of the place, but it was kinda small. It went underground, and all over the walls there were really trippy murals that were amazing, and the bartender guy played November Rain! I was happy. There were pool tables in there I think, and the trippy murals were sorta themed to be space looking... Aaah! Can't really remember! LOL!
What I DO remember is that on the trip to Amsterdam, the FIRST DAY my friends wanted to go to McDonalds and dragged me and a couple others of my friends round practically the WHOLE city!! And they DIDN'T LET ME SIT DOWN!!! NOT ONCE!!! Not until we got there, so my friend gave me a piggyback for a while, but then she got tired so I had to walk again, and then when we got to McDonalds, I didn't want to eat anything because I'd seen SuperSize Me the week before... but I did anyway, and I felt really bad because I'd said to my bf that I'd "never eat McDonalds again"... but I did!!! AAAH!!!
But ahh! The coffeeshops... lovely. Oh, and that Doors shop rocked!!! But! Did you see the shop selling all the t-shirts with hilarious things on them?!! I can't remember exactly what they said, but I remember I laughed at them! Oooh!!! There was also this one guy I remember who looked a LOT like Axl and was dressed like Axl, and he was wearing a Gn'R shirt... He's the only non-college person I remember from the whole trip because he looked like Axl. I waved at him from the hotel window and he waved back, smiled at my bandana, gave me the metal devil horn symbol, and walked off into the sunset... ahh...
Anyhoo, I'm rambling, and I'd just typed more, but then I realized I was rambling and so I deleted what I'd just typed because it was random shit, and yea. Amsterdam rocks!!!

IMO, Metallica's albums up to and including the Black Album rock, but the ones after that are kinda iffy except for the S&M one which ROCKS because of the orchestra.... LOL! Even Fuel sounds good on that. I wish they'd played Unforgiven though. I fucking love that song, and it would have sounded AMAZING with an orchestra!
I still stick with what I said about The Memory Remains. Marianne Faithful sounds funny, but in the S&M version, her parts sound fucking excellent with the audience singing them! Smiley

Momma you no doubt know what your talking about. I laughed at what you said about the t-shirts. They pretty much all have similar punchlines like "I'm waiting to get my pictures developed from my vacation in Amsterdam, so I can see what I did."
The McD's is strange there. They charge you for ketchup. The food place near it is the main food joint, with all the sandwhiches and shit in the walls and they have those killer shakes.

The coffee shop your talking about is the grasshopper, I think. Near the Bulldog. That place is real cool. One of their specialty strains is the purple haze. Mmm... yea, I should probably stop talkin about this.

I talked about Metallica S&M dvd earlier. I recommend that to everyone here. Especially if you have a 5.1 settup. Metallica was very into that show, and musically it just owns. You have the option of just hearing Metallica, or just the symphony to, which is cool. The song selection is perfect. No Leaf Clover is a beautiful thing on this.

Alright, seems like this has turned into a discussion about Metallice, Amsterdam and the sights there.
