RHCP- Stadium Arcaidum
For my lady friend, hopefully, she didn't rush out at work to buy it for herself, otherwise, I guess I have myself a new RHCP CD.

Tool - 10,000 days - What is it with this band? I don't really love a certain song, but I just love their albums. I got into Tool recently and it's hard to explain...I don't know what I like about this band, but it's like I have this
need
to listen to their albums.? Any of you feel the same with Tool?
Pearl Jam - Amazing. Best album in 10 years. Marker in the sand, Gone and Come back are pure gold!
Snow Patrol - Eyes Open - Why isn't noone talking about them here? brilliant band.

Snow Patrol - Eyes Open: Haven't listened to it yet but Ignatius is right, this is a great band that alot of people here would enjoy if they checked them out.
RHCP- Stadium Arcadium: Listened to most of the first disc. Very solid effort. I dont recall the title of the song at the moment but Track 8 has some fantastic guitar work. Snow and Stadium Arcadium are my favorite tracks so far.

I don't know which album is better, both good.
I guess not too many people will follow our recommendation though as we failed to make Death cab... or The Postal Service popular around here?

She's Only 18 number 8 Kujo.
My first listen through SA I didnt really connect with the songs *which normally happens with me* but now i cant stop listening.
Im glad Kujo turned me on to those groups, I never wouldve gave them a chance cause ive become so jaded with music these days.
But they are definitely great.

I think i know where you're coming from.
You don't feel inclined to listen to one tune but the whole album as one is a fantastic listening experiences which compliments itself and it's like a wonderful journey, i've never really listened to the band much before but i'm half way through this album and i'm loving it....oh and to get back to you on
The Strokes
(from way back when...), i forgot to download those tunes you suggested but i did hear a track of theirs on the radio today and i really enjoyed it, i forget it's name though...oops.

Exactly. If you like "10,000 days" try "Lateralus" and "Aenima" as well.
The Strokes song you are referring to is probably
You only live once
. There are great songs in the new Strokes album...highly recommended.

Buy Aenima. Now. Given your stoner tendancies, it may well be the greatest album you hear all year. Smoke some herb and throw on Third Eye.....................
(... Don't go thinking that it's stoner rock though..........)

I know I ain't posted in this thread for a while but I got this sweet thing last weekend, "Alternatives for Destruction - The Appetite Studio Rehearsals" it's a collection of Studio Rehearsals from Appetite, (as the name suggests!) not the best listen since the quality's not great but it's interesting and a pretty good collector's item, anyone else heard it?
