Really the last great record i bought was by a band called Mastodon. A friend of mine in another band got me into there album Leviathon a month before there new album Crack the skye was released. I was impressed by Leviathon but Crack the skye blew me away. The playing on it is amazing. They are playing the entire album in its entirety on tour. If you can try to catch them.

Manic Street Preachers - Journal for Plague Lovers ( was previously order via pre order but needed to save cash) awesome album full of rage and genuine sarcastic beauty, Shows off Richey Edwards as the brilliant lyricist/poet he could have been.

Pearl Jam - Backspacer
First Pearl Jam album I've bought since Binaural. And first album I've bought since Nov. 23rd , the post Chinese Democracy era. I've still yet to take CD out though and insert Backspacer. I'll break down eventually I'm sure. I mostly bought it for the 2 free concert downloads. I want that Hartford show, I was there and Eddie dedicated Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town to my home town.
