Hey all... in addition to being a GNR fanatic, I'm a new music fanatic and college radio DJ, so imagine my surprise when I ran across a song this past Saturday while doing my show called Aqueduct - Growing Up With GNR. The lyrics include several nods to Axl & GNR, with the chorus saying, "I was only 12, dammit all to hell / I was feeling fine / Hearing Axl Rose on the radio / Singing 'Sweet Child o' Mine.'"

Hear the song from the band's own website here: http://www.aqueductisgoodmusic.com/Growing%20Up%20With%20G%27N%27R.mp3

Thought you guys might find this interesting...

cool GN'R/Axl Rose mention...
a lot nicer than that band (sr71 was it?) that put Axl on the cover .. "where did you go, Axl Rose"
the lyrics for that were not very complimentary towards GN'R fans
but this is all right  Wink

Thanks 2 those who went 2 Mustang Harry's on May 12th. That made my first concert experience something I'll never forget. Never did I feel like I fit in anywhere as much as I did amongst you strangers

Don't really like the song enough to buy any of their future releases, but it must be nice having people sing about you in a non-insulting way.

I just saw them on Conan. They're called Aqueduct and they have a song called growing up with GnR.

Its an alright song I guess.

This song is really deep. Pfff, anyway yea I remember hearing Axl Rose on the radio singing Sweet Child O' Mine. Maybe Aquaduct can write an alternative version once CD is out. You know once we here Axl on the radio singing something else. That would be just as clever. Conan would definitevly have him on again if he dropped that shit.
