I've always wondered whether people like this sad excuse for a guitarplayer?

Well, I hope you'll find out what to do with it. Since listening to it would be a waste of time and energy...

It would be less worse (but still) when he would stop taking cheap-shots at some of the greatest guitarplayers of our time. Players with abilities to smoke him within seconds? The nutcase even referred to himself as being one of the best guitarplayers on the planet on national TV. He sure is his own biggest fan ?

Here are a few things that have happened (starring mr. Nugent) that I would loved to have witnessed:

?I was playing Detroit one night and Ted was the opening act and then halfway through my set his roadies pushed his amps onto our stage and he began trying to out-volume me. I was pretty stunned because I thought "what a jerk", but I didn't want my guys to throw him off the stage 'cause I felt that he'd make something out of it, so I played along with his gag and answered all of his riffs, quite easily I might add. I guess he got a little un-nerved 'cause the crowd could see that it wasn't really working for him, so he tried to finish it off by playing with his teeth, of all things, which he did real slow and jerky. I guess that he really didn't believe that I could do that 'cause i wasn't givin' to doing those things in those days, but any guitarist can tell you that it's quite easy to do, although I guess to Ted it was the "big hard", so after he finished his lick and the crowd grew silent waiting to see if I'd respond and I waited and waited until it got real quiet. You could hear a pin drop in that hall and I could hear a friend of mine offstage whisper, "do it". So after an enormously long pause, and just as Ted started to strut towards me, I picked up my axe to my teeth and let loose with a blitz of notes, loud, long and fast. Well, the crowd goes nuts and I guess Ted, to his credit, realized what happened so he falls down like he's been shot and I guessed that meant that I'd won or something. To this day, I think it was the single most stupid thing that I'd ever seen in music. I remember that Ted began to go around the country doing these battle shows. They asked if I'd do it with them but I declined. I think that this was the day that the "WWF" came to rock and roll and I really think that Ted was dumb to do that kind of crap. As to whether I blew Ted Nugent's doors off, I think we should ask the fans that were there and remember it. After that, Ted and I ended up at the same management for a while along with Aerosmith, and he always acted like he didn't like me very much, although I couldn't imagine why....?

Now, take a close look at this little fellow

This is Shawn Lane when he was 14 (he was already a professional musician at age 12). This is what happened when Lane (around that time in his life) came across mr. Ted ?fulltime charisma vacuum? Nugent (who at that time was in his ?prime?):

In the next photo he comes eye-to-shoulder against another guitarist grimacing behind matted long hair. ?That's Ted Nugent. And Ted, he's this guitarslinger, a jammer, and likes to blow people away. This was his hometown, Detroit, and he got up -- he was just gonna blow me away, you know, he started whatever licks he always played? -- Shawn started smiling ? ?and I was this little kid, and I just . . . just greased him, man.? Laughter. In his hometown. And then afterwards I was kinda like, 'Hey, Ted,' and he was, 'Rrr, get away!'?What did young Shawn play? ?Just wild stuff? -- he stretched apart and wiggled the fingers of his left hand.

Many people witnessed this, just to make sure nobody thinks it was made up or whatever...

If I actually based what I listened too off whether I would personally like the musician(s) or not, I'd maybe have 3 cd's.  hihi

Ted Nugent recently shot some of his scenes for the upcoming movie from singer Toby Keith, "Beer For My Horses", in New Mexico. The movie follows the exploits of small town deputies and best friends as they defy the local sheriff by embarking on an outrageous road trip to save a girlfriend from drug lord kidnappers.

Nugent plays a character named Skunk Tarver. In an article for the Waco Tribune-Herald, he wrote, "Old Skunk is an uppity, defiant, long-haired, over-the-top rock 'n' roll deputy sheriff in Jackson County, Oklahoma, who loves bowhunting and guns. He will do whatever is necessary to keep Jackson County safe from criminal danger." Nugent added, "Willie Nelson returns as a traveling gypsy circus operator and more familiar Hollywood star actors like Tom Skerritt, Claire Forlani and Barry Corbin bring some magical moments to the screen."

The rocker got involved with the project after getting a call from his pal Keith, who's working on the flick with songwriter/comedian Rodney Carrington. "Beer For My Horses" is due out later this year.

Nugent is also eying a TV project. He recently met with New Mexico governor Bill Richardson to talk about creating a "special Ted Nugent 'Spirit of New Mexico' outdoors show." Nugent explained, "In fact, the governor and I are working with his departments of tourism, game and fish, and economic development."
