Axl has such awesome vocal talent that i think he would be great on Broadway. I think he would be great as The Phantom in POTO,  Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and Jesus in jesus christ Superstar. Sebastion bach did a couple of Broadway shows,  Jeckyll and Hyde and jesus christ superstar. I think it would be a cool way for Axl to reinvent himself! Can't you just imagine axl singing the Music of the Night.? OK I'll admit I'm a little obsesed with the phantom. smoking

Sorry to say it, but Broadway is not for Axl.  no  He has/had a unique voice, but his voice was never really skilled and without that nobody would hire him for a musical.

Jean Valjean in Les Miserables is it! The role fits him to a T...to a fault.

Axl IS a very gifted vocalist, The dude has a  three 1/2 octave for christ sake!  POTO would be perfect for his singing style.

The thing that people always forget in these circumstances is that for someone to be in a Broadway musical, they have to be skilled at both singing AND acting.  Sebastian Bach in Jesus Christ Superstar and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was apparently better in principle than execution.  The reviews I read all said that, while Bach has a spectacular singing voice, he can't act his way out of a paper bag and so couldn't effectively carry the audience through the dramatic action.  I fear Axl might have a similar problem.  Let's face it, even though the guy is (in my opinion) the best hard rock screamer ever, his acting skills might be a little lacking for all we know.  Let's not forget, he only ever acted in GN'R's music videos, and then always as himself.

That said, if Axl did want to be in a Broadway musical, I would love to see him as the cop/narrator in Urinetown, just because it would give him an excuse to wear the police hat again.  Cool

I think Axl has a flare for the dramatic... but, I think he'd be FANTASTIC in a musical comedy!

None specific come to mind though.
perhaps some creative mind could write one... with him in mind.

And I wouldn't discount his performances in the GN'R videos... he was playing 'himself' but he had to act to re-enact scenes from his past and he had to emote to put across the right feelings in scenes for the vdeios.
I think Axl can act.... he is: creative, dedicated, and passionate in all he puts forth.  ok

I thought Baz didn't make it in Broadway because his ego got in the way.  No way Axl could make the shows on time anyway based on his history.

no way he would be better off playing roger davis in RENT'S broadway musical because roger is a struggling musician but as far as poto and les miserables i think it better be left to the professionals that play it well.
