I love white zombie. Almost every song they made is fucking good. But all of Rob's solo stuff has been really awful to me. I don't like a single song. They all sound cheesey. Astrocreep 2000 is one of my favorite albums, and that song 'feed the gods' from the airheads soundtrack is one of my favorite songs ever.

Rob Zombie's second project as a feature film director, "The Devil's Rejects", has had its release date moved up to July 22 from the previously announced August 12. The decision to change the release date was apparently made by Lion's Gate Entertainment after a "killer test screening" on February 10 that established the movie as "the highest-testing movie in the history of the company," according to Zombie. "After the [test screening] they picked a small group of about 20 to discuss the film. 18 of the 20 rated the film as excellent and the other two rated it as very good. Hey, what more can I ask for?" stated Zombie.

"The Devil's Rejects" is the sequel to Zombie's directorial debut, 2003's "House Of 1000 Corpses". The rocker-turned-filmmaker has said that this movie will be much darker and nastier than its predecessor.

"The Devil's Rejects" follows "House"'s evil Firefly family as they flee from a cop bent on revenge for the murder of his brother in the first movie, according to Launch Radio Networks.

In addition to returning cast members like Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, "The Devil's Rejects" boasts an assortment of actors long associated with the horror genre, including "Halloween"'s P.J. Soles, Ken Foree from the original "Dawn Of The Dead", Michael Berryman from "The Hills Have Eyes" and Steve Railsback of "Helter Skelter" and "Ed Gein" fame.

He's an idiot. The first film was banned just about everywhere for being too graphic, now a nastier offering?!?! Making a film no one will ever see - well done.

ROB ZOMBIE's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"Well, here some exciting news kids! Just in time for Christmas is something we call 'Hellbilly Super Deluxe'! What is it you ask? Well, it a new version of 'Hellbilly Deluxe' featuring a CD of the original album plus a DVD containing videos for every song on the album! That's right every song! Included in this are all the classics like 'Living Dead Girl', 'Dragula' and 'Superbeast', but also eight never-before-seen videos including 'Meet The Creeper', 'Channel X', 'How To Make A Monster' and many more. If that ain't enough it also comes with awesomely expanded deluxe artwork case and booklet that will blow you away. This is an amazing package that no Zombie fan will want to live without!"

In other news, Rob had the following to say about his group's recent appearance at Ozzfest and their future plans:

"Hey, I'm back! Ozzfest is over and it was a total blast! It was really great to get back out there on the road and see you all again. The new band is amazing and we are dying to get back into the studio and finish the new album. I am positive this this is going to be the most kick-ass record yet. Blasko [bassist Rob Nicholson], Five [guitarist John 5, ex-MARILYN MANSON] and Tommy [drummer Tommy Clufetos, ALICE COOPER] are ready to crush it and so am I. Stay tuned for lots of news coming your way."

Heres a photo of the ROB ZOMBIE band taken by Rob's wife Sheri Moon moments after the band finished their final Ozzfest show in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Yeah, his solo stuff is pretty good, but the White Zombie stuff is better.  Actually his last solo album wasn't that good.  There were a few good songs on it, but it was still a dissapointment.

i think rob zombie would be a heeelllll of a lot cooler if he didn't focus all his energy on trying to be creepy all the time. he was so fuckin' cool in white zombie, he branches off on his own, goes for the i'm a creepy serial killer devil worshipper type thing goin' on and it just comes off lame. he'd be so much cooler if he was just, cool, man...

According to MTV.com, ROB ZOMBIE's revamped, revisited "Hellbilly Deluxe" will now surface on November 22; the CD/DVD set will feature expanded artwork plus a DVD including a video for each and every song on the original "Hellbilly Deluxe" album.

In other news, Zombie's second movie as a writer and director, "The Devil's Rejects", will receive a DVD and UMD (universal media disc) release on November 8. DVD bonus features include: audio commentary with Zombie, actor commentary with Sid Haig, Bill Moseley and Sheri Moon Zombie, blooper reel, "The Morris Green Show" ? "Ruggsville's #1 Talk Show", Mary the Monkey Girl commercial, Spaulding Christmas commercial, "Cheerleader Missing" ? the Otis home movie, "Satan's Gotta Get Along Without Me" ? Buck Owens video, deleted scenes, make-up tests, Matthew McGrory tribute, still gallery and theatrical trailer and TV spots. Exclusive to the unrated Director's Cut version is 6.1 DTS ES Digital Audio, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround EX and a two-hour, 24-minute documentary called "30 Days in Hell: The Making of The Devils Rejects".

The following is Zombie's description of some of the extra features that will be available on "The Devil's Rejects" DVD:

1. First off is the documentary entitled '30 Days In Hell'. This is a very detailed 'making of' doc that follows the complete journey of the film from early meeting to the last day of shooting. If you ever wondered how much work it is to make a movie, this will give you some idea.

2. 'The Morris Green Show' ? this is the local talk show that Gloria Sullivan is watching in the motel. Well, you get to see the entire 20-minute episode, featuring the very funny Daniel Roebuck as Morris Green and Dwayne Whitaker as Dr. Robert Bankhead as expert on occult crimes.

3. Deleted scenes ? there is about 20 minutes of cut scenes, featuring such scenes as 'The Pork Rind Scene' with Ken Foree and EG Daily, 'Dr. Satan' featuring Dr. Satan, William Forsthye, MC Gainey and Rosario Dawson, and several other scenes featuring Michael 'Clevon' Berryman, Sheri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley and others.

4. Otis's Home Movies ? this will explain what happened to Valerie Green, one of the missing cheerleaders in the photo Wydell staples to Otis's chest.

5. Spaulding TV Commercials ? first is Mary the Monkey Girl as seen in the film, and Spaulding's X-Mas commercial for his Murder Ride Gift certificates.

6. Blooper reel ? highlights of things going wrong on set.

7. A tribute to Matt ? this is a video tribute to our beloved Tiny.

8. Director commentary and actor commentary Sid, Bill and Sheri.

9. Trailers and TV spots

10. And possibly more? we are still working on it.

"Rejects" will be available in both R-rated and unrated versions so pay attention when you buy it.

MoviesOnline.com recently conducted an interview with musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:

Q: Do you find there has been a lot of resistance to your filmmaking career because of your musical background? I mean, sometimes filmmakers look down their noses at people who have been in other fields who suddenly feel that they can make a movie...

Rob Zombie: "Yeah, I know what you're saying. I think that it was the case definitely with the first film ('House of 1000 Corpses'), and maybe even with the second film ['The Devil's Rejects'] until people actually SAW the second film. But the response to 'Devil's Rejects' has been so positive, that vibe has now gone away. People responded to the creative aspects of 'Rejects' so strongly, that any kind of studio executive or even other filmmakers don't feel that I'm just 'dabbling' in their world."

Q: That's good. It IS an outstanding film. I felt that it was a lot more confident. you know what you want to show, how you want to tell your story.

Rob Zombie: "Yeah, I mean you can equate this stuff to anything else. Hopefully you get better each time you do it. You need the experience of doing it. The first film..it is what it is, the the second film improves on that. And I hope to make the third film far superior to the second one."

Q: A lot of studios these days are releasing remakes, like "The Fog" for example. All these PG-13 rated, watered down for the kids, full-of-these-theme-park-scares kind of films.

Rob Zombie: "My opinion on this is influenced by the fact that I never go see these movies. To me, they're the equivalent of old teen thrillers that should be starring Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. That's what these films seem like to me. They're just not that violent or that vicious or that horrible or that intense. They're horror movies for the Hilary Duff generation. They don't want to be offensive, they just want everybody to be good-looking. The scenes are mostly a loud noise where somebody jumps out. That's not scary, that's startling. Somebody said with 'Devil's Rejects', 'It wasn't scary, I didn't jump once.' What's with equating jumping to being scared? So, I don't see those movies. They don't interest me. They're Disney horror."

Q: Off topic now, I read in a previous interview that you were near the tail end of your music career and wanted to focus on movies. Is there any truth to that?

Rob Zombie: "Well, at that point in time with that interview, I had worked on 'Rejects' nonstop for almost a year, so that was all I could see. I'm actually just finishing up an album that should be out around March, and then I'll probably start another movie. For the moment, I'm still flip flopping between the two.

Q: That's good news.

Rob Zombie: "It's difficult to do both, but I continue to try."
