No, there's no clear message, just the product of one of your paranoid deliriums.

who do you think you are to talk to me in that way? because you are moderator you think you have all the rights you want?

Haha, you're funny. Too bad I know more things about you than you have an idea of. You're not only paranoid but a complete nutcase.
It has nothing to do with me being a moderator. If I had a 10 post count I would say the exact same thing. The thing is you consistently take every little insignificant piece of news and distort it to make it something negative when there's really no reason to. Plus you obviously have no knowledge on the situation you're commenting (the Replacements situation).
Some people would call you a pessimist, I call you paranoid. Sorry, I tend to be a bit blunt.
Now if you want to continue complaining about me harrassing you or something, I suggest you to do it by PM. Because god only knows what kind of crazy things can go through my head when the thread gets out of hand Wink

I think Tommy also worked with Paul some on Stereo/Mono in the "Granpaboy" band.

Uh, actually no. It was a rumour that made the rounds at the time (no idea why), and both Paul and Tommy shot it down.
I didn't make up the 6-7 years figure, it's something both guys said in recent interviews Wink

I don't have time to write you a PM. Don't give yourself an importance you don't have. Wink

The Replacements are one of the most respected bands of all time.If they got back together it would be huge, not sad.If you want sad watch Axl's vma performance.Alot of kids never saw the replacements live, add to that their old fanbase, they could sell out ballrooms easy.

I think it's great that Tommy recorded ONE song with Paul.  But its obvious that he wants to show the fruits of his labor with GNR.  He obviously had alot to do with CD and seems like he's with Axl hell or high water.  Paul and Tommy had legendary fights back in the day.  And remember Paul is a control freak.  And from what we've read Axl is not music-wise.

Sometimes we all are. But sometimes it's better to look on the outside of the box in.  It'll save us alot of heartache if we can refrain from getting to personal about this band.  Hell, They're not personal to us!

Back to the original topic, it seems that there's a mistake in the report and that the song was not recorded for the film "Elizabethtown" but for a Sony animated movie which is slated to come out next year (I think it's called "Open season").
That's what I thought when I first read it but I didn't have any sources at hand to back it up so I refrained from posting it. But a reputable source on the Mats newsgroup just said the same thing, so I guess it's true. Or there's at least two of us who had the same hallucination  hihi

I know that, thank you. But the song they recorded together seems to be for Open season.

Edit : I finally managed to find a source for that :

Paul : Tommy [Stinson] and I actually played in L.A. just three weeks ago ? he came down with [drummer] Josh Freese and we [recorded a song] for Open Season. And that was strange. I hadn?t seen him in about eight years, and we hadn?t played together in that long. But it was just like it was yesterday. I didn?t have to tell him what key it was.

Strange, that's not what Tommy has said about Paul in his recent interviews...

Thanks for the interview Pandora. Clears things up pretty good. Now, I really want a Mats reunion...or at least see Tommy and Paul do an album together.

I don't think you should. Josh was the one who told Tommy about GN'R looking for a bass player.

They're friends.
