« on: February 23, 2005, 03:54:23 PM »

Sometime within the last week this girl i know said that while listening to Q 1043 she heard them say that they here Chinese Democracy is coming out April 25th. The girl (on the station) said don't quote me on this because you know Axl. They probably just heard the HMV rumor.

Just pure speculation.Even if it is a date set in stone by Axl, it could easily be changed. Remember back in the Illusion days when it was DEFINITELY coming out on May 10th or 11th(dont remember exact date). As we all know, Illusions didn't come out until September.

yeah, i definitely think they picked up the HMV thing, though they must be retarted, every where it's reported, it also mentions that it is 100 percent unofficial and just probably made up.

Ian O'Malley (q1043 dj): So they set the date for Chinese Democracy, huh, it's almost to the point where like, who even cares, we already have Velvet Revolver.

he said that tonight as I was driving home. I called him and told him that I care Smiley

I know the idea of a new GNR single on a movie soundtrack has been tossed around  a million times...but doesn't the new Batman movie seem to be a perfect vessel?  There'sa brand new actor starring in it...it seems to be a new beginning...kind of like a certain band we all enjoy, eh?  Anyone know the release date for that one???  Is it close to April 25th?

I think the songs for that movie have been selected allready with Green Days  "boulevard of broken dreams" playing a key role in the film and soundtrack.

heres some info I just dug up ..

'ExtremeBatmanfan' has possibly more on the Batman Begins soundtrack:

I have a followup to my scoop about Green Day being apart of the Batman Begins soundtrack. Well, I have done some major digging around and have found out some more bands that will be on the soundtrack. In addition to the three songs from Green Day (the two newly recorded tracks, and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, the theme to the film), newly recorded tracks from The Cure, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Dave Navarro, Chevelle, and Metallica. Making for a total of 11 songs.

According to a posting at SuperHeroHype.com, newly recorded tracks by METALLICA, VELVET REVOLVER, AUDIOSLAVE, PEARL JAM, Dave Navarro (ex-JANE'S ADDICTION) and CHEVELLE are among the songs that are slated to appear on the "Batman Begins" soundtrack, tentatively due in late May/early June. Also purportedly scheduled for inclusion are three songs from GREEN DAY (the two newly recorded tracks, and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", which is said to be the film's "theme song"), as well as newly recorded cuts from THE CURE and FOO FIGHTERS.

"Batman Begins", helmed by the cutting-edge director of "Memento", Christopher Nolan, is set to receive a U.S. theatrical release on June 17.

so if thats true and VR has a new song on their you can all but forget about a new GNR song on their too.

The person that posted that was proved to be lying. Metallica have confirmed they won't be on the soundtrack.

VR are still a possibility but only Boulevard of Broken Dreams has been confirmed for the soundtrack so far.
