Seriously fuck off

« on: February 21, 2005, 04:54:09 AM »

It's surprising there isnt any (or much)  speculation as to the fact Dizzy and Tommy are back at
the GNR camp from Feb 13 to perhaps Mar/Apr.

My opinion, is that we knew the album was in the mixing stages (and having some vocals
done) for at least the past few+ months..

So once the instrumentals were done, it was basically AXL's job to finish vocals/mixing.
Thus he told the other band mates they could go do their own thing.

That could only mean they are back in camp to:
possibly put some finishing touches/rearrange some of the music (doubtful based on Tommy indicating CD was done)
give their opinions on particulars of each song, which after may have to be remixed
give their opinions on which songs will fit CD
   give their opinions on artwork
list final credits, send thanks to...,etc
plan upcoming tours, release of 2nd album, etc

The main point is, that they are NOT needed to do the mixing, yet they are back in camp and the logic
seems to point to the conclusion that CD is indeed in the final stages.

It does seem strange that it appears Tommy has scrapped plans for a European Tour and that he is staying on the West Coast of America for the next few months. It hardly classifies as confirmation that they are gonna release the album but could be seen as an indication that the band are working together at the moment to those who wish to remain positive.  beer

Don't know if there is a source for Dizzy, but one of Tommys January Interviews from Pioneer Press mentions:

After the current tour, Stinson goes back to GNR ? assuming that album actually comes out ? and hopes to produce some new bands and maybe stretch out into film scoring.

Tommys web site says the latest leg of his tour is wrapped up (dated Feb 18th).

Tommy is more than likely back home (he live in LA area) since he has an offdate in hollywood on Mar 4, not to mention most people actually do go
home when they're not working on the road. (Dizzy also lives in L.A. I believe and has a wife and kids..Where do you think he is?)

Tommy has repeatedly said the album will be released in : "April", "early spring", "late spring".

So if Tommy "thinks" the albums coming out in spring, and is back in L.A. for at least March, and Dizzys tour
curiously ended the same time as Tommy's, this also confirms a high degree of probability that something is going on.

I thought Tommy had a few more dates in the future; brain is working in April with bucket. Perhaps all 3 will be back in the fold later this spring.
