Coupled with the hat, he looked straight out of the GNR days.

The animation reminded a little of the sleazy, Ralph Bakshi style of the '70s.

yes!  That's why it felt like what a original Guns video would be, if it were made now.  It had all the visual elements: tophat, leather vests, skulls, a train you would ride while drinking nightrain with a bunch of raunchy people, and of course the Hollywood sign at the end.  Very over-the-top Sunset Strip style.

I wasn't happy with choosing DLT for as a single, but I like the vid, it actually makes me like the song more.

Duff looks very cool in all black, with that black bass!

Only thing that would make it better would be if the song were Sucker Train Blues ...

those critizicing the animation clearly know shit about shit .  ok

It's reminiscent of Heavy Metal the animated movie as well as aeon flux, Kicks total ass.
 peace

the Fall to pieces video  is almost as cheesy as a motley crue video.
That scene when scott is "fighting" with duff comes straight out ot a soup opera cat fight.
Of course it doesnt help when the song itself is cheesy as hell. It's the only one I skip every time on contraband.

this video is great but FTP is still my favorite.

I think their plan was to make Sucker train blues the single and thats where the idea of the train came from but last minute they were advised that radio was not going to play STB because of the vulgar lyrics. So they went eith DLT, another song they love instead. I really like both STB and DLT so either is fine with me! beer

Great video, It rocks!!  Dirty Little Thing has a great riff and has been one of my favorite song since the album came out.  Better choice then STB.  Best video so far, cause it ROCKS!

yeah DLT is a better option for radio than STB. STB is more of a cool song for the fans to know and love. Kinda like Nightrain, rocket queen, It's so easy & Brownstone are to gnr.

You know, i'm sick and tired of you depressed axl fans bringing down Slash and VR.  Try to enjoy the success of VR and we should all hope Axl can get his shit together too.  All the bullshit jealousy on this message board is uncalled for.  Look, we're all GNR fans.  Forget who's to blame for their break up.  Put it all in the past and enjoy the only bit or rock n' roll we have today.  Contraband is a great album but few have not really given it much of a chance because of prior negative dispositions towards old GNR members.  You know what, if you're a true Gunner, you'd be proud of Duff, Matt, and Slash. Enjoy the music.  It's the same guys most of you idolized growning up.  Ultimately, they are the true Guns N' Roses.  (Yes, please add Steven, Izzy, and of course, Axl).

By the way, the new video is great and should be a hit if stations choose to play them.  I live in Miami and I can honestly say, I have not heard DLT on the radio yet.  Ridicoulous.  Miami rock stations are on the decline and we are desperate for some rock n' roll.  We need to continue to support rock n' roll!!!!! peace

Well you just opened a can of worms and probably ruined this thread.  No one bashed VR in here....Now you are gonna have some idiot crying about how VR fans are "hypocrites" and "it's funny how VR fans can bash Axl but Axl fans can't have an opinion" and then we will get a "  Roll Eyes " . Well, there we go hopefully I said it for them and we can talk about the video in this thread...

Yeah, did you post in the wrong thread or something, aporro? I was reading it, then I came to your post and thought...what the fuck. It seems out of place, considering nobody was bashing VR, as tomass rightly pointed out  Tongue

Anyway

Excellent video! Loads of pretty colours n'...stuff.

I'm surpised more people didn't chime in with a video.. Not everyone is a big vr fan but hey it's three ex gunners playing, and why not support it being they are on the rock scene..

I think "Slither" is still VR's best single and video so far.

I don't really care for "Dirty Little Thing" as a song all that much, but it's better than "Fall to Pieces."  The video is somewhat entertaining.  You can never go wrong with plenty of scantily clad beauties hangin' around.    hihi

No wonder Weiland's favorite GN'R song is "It's So Easy."  Seems like his main vocal range is the same as Axl's within that song...

not exactly, scott picks up his megaphone to match the intensity of axl's high pitch vocals near the end of the song.

Ypu know, I fifnt really liked the video. And it sucks, cause DLT is one of my  favourite tuns of CB.The animatin is lame and the whole band all really close because the train is small looks ridiulos.VR is a band in wich every member needs it?s spot!!Anyway, it isnt THAT band and I can stand it cause I  love DLT.

I like the video! There is a great attitude in that song and the video gives a feel of danger into that.

the animation of the band at the end was hilarious!

the very end of the animation looks like "The Simpsons"  Smiley
