Cartoon Network in the UK (Sky Channel 601) have been showing adverts for a new cartoon series called The Cramp Twins. The background music being used for this is GN'R's "Welcome To The Jungle".

You can't use music as high profile as GN'R's in adverts without permission.  They would definately had to ask permission.  The fact that they are using it may have something to do with the new publishing deal which Axl recently signed, allowing for use of GN'R's material.

The episode that was a spoof of "thelma and louise" where marge goes out riding in car with their new neighbour lady and end up getting chased by a hoard of police cars .. in the end wiggum and homer drive over the edge of the chasm and land in a wastefill.

homer: lovely wastefill .. I could kiss you!

WTTJ was played right when marge 1st got in the car .. her friend says "this night is all about ... *inserts cassete tape* rainbows and lollipops and.. "thats not it" *flips tape* welcome to the jungle , we got fun and games! .. and then they speed off!

Great episode!

i read that axl gave them a rerecorded version, but since BHD is based on true story-
-they (filmakers) wanted it as authentic as possible, it's on this page? ok ... somewhere? coffee

I've heard many times WTTJ backround music in the game network channel.
I also remember a topic in a major TV channel about the crime.
Somewhere in the beggining of the show they did a representation of a crime in the streets and they had Paradise City in backround music. Grin

How long does the music last on the Cartoon Network thing, I heard? some where that you don't have to pay for a song if you use less than 35 seconds of it or something like that Huh
Anyway what were you doing watching cartoon network hihi . Seriously though how long is this advert?

im not sure how does the permission thing works in the US , but i think in Mexico you dont have to get permission for every song or pay for every song you use , when you own radio stations or tv channels i think you pay certain money a year to get the license to use the music from a company , so you dont need to be asking permission every day.
