I am Back!!!!!!

WWW
« on: February 14, 2005, 12:59:39 AM »

The search function is disabled and im not sure if this has been discussed a lot, but im watching it right now and had some observations, questions and opinions

Did Axl use teleprompters before this gig?
cause he forgot the words to WTTJ and Civil War *2nd night*so im thinking if he didnt use them before this, maybe this gig is why he started.

first night the band didnt really seem to be very energized

Also isnt it amazing how tight and together the old band were?

Axl totally forgot a verse in Civil War*2nd night* the lines that end with "and i dont wanna hear no more"

anyway he forgot the whole verse and as the band started playin the chorus axl started singing the verses and the band promptly realized what was goin on and went back to playin the verse music *that is a tight ass band to be able to do that*

lots of problems with mics etc but Axl's energy is so amazing and just the chemistry he had with the old band made me really nostalgic

watching these makes me realize that something is missing with Axl now when i watch the 2002 boots

attitude, energy just something isnt quite there like it was and i know we've discussed that to the death but it still bugs me that i cant quite figure out what it is.

Good point about the telepropters yes your probably right
The Old Band was so magigcal 'specially when Izzy was there Grin
Im not trying to sound cheesy or tryng to overpraise the band but really chemistry and that kinda energy in a band will never happen again Sad
Anyway we've got to move forward and hope that Chinese Democracy will be good, it might have better songs than Appetite but I guarrantee no other album (including CD) will have the same energy and feeling Sad

Im gettin' depressed now no

see ya Undecided

imo axls problem was, that he didn`t rehearse before that show what he never does
(did Undecided) and so he just forgot the lyrics for a moment. and i really like the old band with izzy, it had just the right feeling etc. but i prefer the new band to the post 93 band.
and i don`t understand why you think that msg 2002 was such a great show, imo chicago and columbus were much better. Huh

Psychologically, you could consider this a reunion tour because I`ve managed to find enough pieces of my mind in order to be with you here tonight - - Axl Rose, Chicago 2002
