Does anybody have any recent info on what Izzy's up to?

There used to be an Izzy fan site but it doesn't seem to exist anymore: is there any other, um, stable source for info about him? Is he ever going to release the Like A Dog record, or is he with Adler's Appetite, or anything --- ?

For all the latest news: www.beenafix.com there's also a link there to the Izzy forum.

That site you mean www.izzy-stradlin.com is gone but at the moment there is some work going on a new izzy site to replace that one. Until then the latest news is on the Izzy forum.

The last time Izzy was spotted was last December when he was with Rick Richards and two other guys in a guitar centre in south florida looking at some drumkits... there hasn't been any news about him since months.

LAD was already pressed and all and Izzy was working on signing a deal, but that probably hasn't worked out. My guess is that he moved on a long time ago onto new projects. There was some talk about him writing songs with AA for their new album but nothing has been set in stone yet according to the AA bassplayer Robbie Crane.

Thanks.

Does anybody know where I can find this Do You Love Me.mp3 mentioned on the beenafix site? The link that they give doesn't seem to lead to it ---

does that mean it's not going to be released?  not even in japan?

I doubt its been pressed without a deal, chances are he hawked it around and no one was intrested. Which is a shame but when ur only planning on making 1000 copies it does seem pointless from a labels position.

Why doesn't he just set up a site and either offer his stuff for free download or allow u to buy direct, it would avoid the labels he hates and would get his music to a wider audience, seems he is quiet happy producing music only he will ever hear - him and Axl really are a pair!

I remember reading something like the record was done and he had some copies made at his own expense and was looking for a deal ---

but I'm not sure, that must've been some two years ago by now, don't take my word for it. Guess it's old news anyway

Nope, it's two years ago and most likely he has moved on, I'll bet he's recorded tons of new stuff since then.

Don't forget that he has a lot of unreleased stuff, full and completed cd's lying on his shelve...There's an all acoustic album, the Slash/Duff/Izzy EP from late 2001, the 10 songs with VR, some songs with Adler and that's just the stuff we know about... He's always writing and recording. My guess is that the next release of him will be a new solo album.

Yeah me too, those 10 songs where recorded in a proffesional recording studio in the same street where the rehearsel space was. While they where recording those songs in a few hours Kelly Schaeffer was waiting in the rehearsel space waiting for his audition.
