i was just hoping for tito to grab a hold of him and chuck to tap, theres something about chuck that i dont like. am just getting into watching UFC so a back story would be helpful

Tito and Chuck were sparring buddies years back.  Word has been Chuck always got the better of Tito in training.  Tito fought Chuck once before the other night and Chuck accidently poked Tito in the eye, Tito was blinded, Chuck followed through and KO'd him.  What you saw was their rematch.

Personally i can't wait until we get Rampage Jackson vs Chuck.

Chuck's MMA Record is 20-3.  The 3 defeats were to Couture, who he has beaten twice since, Jeremy Horn, who he has beaten since and, Rampage.  I watched their fight again today.  It was in the PRIDE Middleweight Tournament 2003.  Now although it was a PRIDE event they had let Chuck enter, Dana had an arrangement with them and mouthed off how Chuck would beat their guys he even bet $250k with them that he'd win the whole tournament.  First match he won, second match Rampage demolished him.  Chuck's corner threw the towel in before he got too battered.  It is a great fight to watch and the most hilarious thing is Dana White on commentary.  He was so pissed off with Chuck.  He was going on about how he wasn't following the game plan and he should be throwing more leg kicks and should be getting knee's in there and how he's not doing what they planned him to do, great stuff to listen to.  Since then Chuck has changed.  Watching that fight Rampage fought more like Chuck does now than Chuck did.  Plenty of overhand hooks, Chuck had a much closer guard rather than the arms down come and hit me technique he employs now.  He was mainly tryin' to jab away.  For me though this fight will be good, they have plenty of backstory.  Now it's not official but it's inevitable.  Rampage has signed with UFC and makes his debut at UFC 67 against Marvin "The Beastman" Eastman who is 0-2 in the UFC and probably had the single most boring round of fighting with Travis Lutter that i have ever seen.  Chances are Rampage will win (Eastman has a decision victory over him but it's from a long time ago...) then he's gonna try and fuck up Chuck, Chuck is better now though and he should avenge this loss aswell, he's on his home turf, fighting in the octagon is a lot different to a ring.

I wanted Forrest Griffin to win but no such luck. But glad to see Chris Leben lose, I can't stand him at all!

The Fight Night line-up looks good.? Dean "Boogeyman" Lister, Tito's buddy is good to watch and Rashad Evans was great in his last fight.? Hermes Franca is a really good underated fighter to and with the re-emergance of the Lightweight Division it would be good to see him get a shot at Sean Shrek.? Plus can Ed Herman get a victory after his poor debut, to be honest i don't like the guy and i would love to see him lose again, his heart does not seem into it he seems to be a cocky bastard and there are much more deserving people who should have his spot.

Word is, that Couture is coming out of retirement to face Tim Slyvia at UFC 68, still at this point it's only rumour but it's expected it will be announced thursday night on Inside The UFC.

basically i'm asking all those in the know who is the greatest fighter in UFC (other organisations too) history. I've only started following it recently and would like to know

The only current undefeated fighter is Diego Sanchez but he is only like 4-0 in the UFC or something like that. His overall record is like 18-0 or something.

If you include TUF3 Finale then Bisping is 2-0, which isn't much but, his Pro Record is 12-0.

Including TUF Finale Sanchez is 6-0 in the UFC.

Brandon "The Truth" Vera is 4-0 in the UFC with a pro record of 8-0.

Randy Couture appeared on "Inside the UFC" on Spike TV this past Thursday night and dropped his bombshell announcement.

And his announcement was this. He'll be returning to the octagon - to fight, at the age of 43 he'll be returning to his old stomping grounds of the Heavyweight division to challenge the champion Tim Sylvia.

That's right, coming from the 205 lb. weight class when he retired, Couture will take on the 6'8'' 265 lb. Heavyweight champion in his first fight back at UFC 68 "The Uprising" in Ohio for his title belt.

Randy Couture went on to announce that he signed a four-fight, two-year contract that will see him competing in the eight-sided cage until he is 45 years old.

He's a former two-time Heavyweight champion, two-time Light Heavyweight champion and UFC Hall of Famer. Will he be able to add another amazing accolade to his already astonishing career? We'll find out March 3, 2007 live on pay-per view when UFC 68 "The Uprising" hits the Nationwide Arena in Ohio.

Sometimes I think the UFC is too wrestler Friendly.

I think the UFC should have a clock and maybe have 30 seconds on it.

Once u score a takedown, U have 30 seconds to knockout or submit your opponent. If u dont, u automatically get stood back up.

I am tired of wrestlers laying and praying their way to victory after victory. Fights that involve wrestlers normally are snorefests.

I guess you are saying that after what happened to Heath Herring.

He was an ASSHOLE.

No takedown defence and he got totally dominated, if he'd of been against somebody half decent with ground skills he would of been choked out.

Also at the end of the fight he was being stupid.  He was being domianted, admittedly O'Brien wasn't doing much but to be complaining to the referee rather than trying to move him was utter bullshit.

I think everyone has different styles they like.  I think to zone in on the "Wrestlers" as being boring is unfair.  Boring covers all the styles, boring is those guys who are just playing for points which annoys the hell out of me.

Prime example Tim Sylvia, a striker always on the defensive happy to keep ahead on points due to his reach and win that way but refuses to get stuck in because he knows his opponenets are far more skillful and given half a chance they'd batter him.

I'm sick of the stand-up matches where it's just a points battle, i think that happens to often, it's good to see guys who just go at it and are good at everything.

Hermes Franca rules, loved his fight, i've seen him get great knockouts, submissions and throws, always entertaining and he's fighting Sherk in July.

Rashad Evans KO was sick, word is the guy was out cold for SEVEN MINUTES.  Now i know he could claim it was "Instinct" or he was just making sure, but hitting the guy when he was down was a bit uncalled for he was clearly out cold, but yeah whatever.

Ed Herman's submission was damn impressive, still, i'll reserve judgment on him until he beats someone decent.

It wasn't shown but i heard Dean Lister got totally dominated and lost, shame, hopefully he'll make a good comeback.

Also heard Ross Pointon lost again    His pro record is now 4-8.  8 of those losses being in his last 9 fights

They did that and got banned in the US and couldn't get carried by PPV...
The only reason this sport is being talked about in the US is because of the current ownership. By moving to Las Vegas and getting sanctioned by boxing commisions they have made it a semi mainstream sport that is now out selling almost every major boxing PPV. Liddell v. Ortiz and Ortiz v. Shamrock were the two highest selling PPV's this year.

I really hope the Lyoto Machida fight airs.  I have heard great things about him.  To be honest i think it's a damn shame that his debut may not even be aired since prior to the UFC he has been 8-0, defeating Bonnar, Penn and the only person other than Silva to defeat Franklin.

Looks like a fairly predictable show, it should be fun though with highlight reel finishes to be expected in most of the fights and the chance to see some fantastic fighters begin their UFC journey....

That's definately the fight i am not looking forward to, it does depend on how it goes though.

A war like Drago vs Smith is cool, but Cote i don't think will be that aggressive i think he'll play for points and edge the decision, either that or catch out a frustrated Smith late on....

Travis Lutter couldnt make weight, So he got fined 10 percent of his purse and its no longer a title shot, it is a 3 round non title bout.

UFC is coming to the UK, having been ill recently and away from my club unfortunately i have not been able to sort tickets out...yet, but hopefully speaking to the "right" people should rectify that.

Cro Cop's next fight is at UFC70, White has said if he wins he's facing the winner of Sylvia vs Couture.

Bisping is rumoured to be fighting Elvis Sinosic.  People may look at his UFC record and slate him, 1-5, but he's a good fighter, his losses have been to decent guys, he could be a tricky fight, Bisping should still win though.

Heath "I made an ass of myself" Herring is getting another fight soon to, let's see if he actually does something worthwhile this time.
