Good event...Enjoyed it a lot.
Cant say im suprised that Chuck knocked out Randy.
I really cant say anyone challenging Chuck at the moment in Light Heavy...he has such quick and heavy hands.
I know Randy did it last time but he wasnt prepared.
Tito seems to be past his best which is strange but ive seen him lose more than win recently and for Tito to win against Chuck he needs to Ground and Pound.

I actually know what you guys are talking about! That doesn't happen for me much when this sort of sport is being discussed. My friend who I'm living with right now watches UFC quite a lot, and I watch it with him. I gotta say I find it really boring sometimes, because they always just seem to end up on the floor hugging each other, but it's pretty cool. The bright lights and loud entrances to the ring/cage/thing annoy me though. The glamour makes it lose its edge and grittiness. I like the fat guys, they're funny.
By the way, I'm in the UK and we do get it. I think it's on Bravo that I watch it.

TJ, agreed with you about when they are hugging(or "In the guard") but that has its attributes especially when you get submission specialists actually going for it on the Ground...If you get to watch UFC 52...watch the Matt Hughes fight against Trigg...awesome submission wrestling and definately the fight of the PPV.
When you get two strikers(Fighters who stand and punch and kick) it can certainly be explosive...
Check out
Vitor Belfot VS David "Tank" Abbott
And pretty much any Chuck Liddell Bouts.
Id like to see Abbot Vs Liddell although Abbott is slightly past it now!

UFC sucked back in the old days when guys would lay on top of each other for 15 minutes, but now if there is no action the ref stands em up.
the ground game is the beauty of MMA and if u watch u can learn and really kick someone's ass if u ever get in a fight.
Tito can beat Chuck if he fights his way.
last fight Chuck dared Tito to stand toe to toe which Tito did like an idiot.
last fight Randy stood with Chuck and dominated Chuck on the feet and the ground so Randy got overconfident
if u watched the promos randy said he thinks the fight will go like the first one
thing is Chuck switched his gameplan whereas Randy stayed the same. Chuck caught him and it was over.
Randy got a little to big headed and believin his press clippings
a 3rd fight between these two will be amazing.

The thing fucked Chuck the first time he fought Randy also fucked Tito when he fought Randy in that they bought under estimated Randy.
Tito didn?t learn from watching Chucks fight with Randy and underestimated Randy and got his ass handed to him .
I think Randy vs Chuck 3 would probably be a battle .
But right now I would really love to see Tito and Randy go at it again.

I missed this thread. I used to be into UFC hardcore, but I dont watch it much anymore. I actually have met Chuck on numerous occassions. He is really good friends with one of my good friends. I used to see him out at the bars all of the time in San Luis Obispo. Im not sure if he still trains there anymore though.

Yeah I seen it a few times when I've been channel-flicking, never really stop to watch it much though.
Anyone seen much K-1? I saw some the other day, it was really funny. First they had a really tall and fat man fighting a really small, karate kinda guy, and later on they had an even taller - but not fat - man with blue hair, fighting the small guy. Funny stuff
It was the final, and the little guy really went for it. Not enough to win, but enough to force an extra round after the usual amount had been fought.

UFC 53 is this Saturday June 4th, I cant wait to see it. here is the complete card for UFC 53 Heavy Hitters
Interim Heavweight Championship
Andrei Arlovski vs. Justin Eilers
Middleweight Championship
Evan Tanner vs. Rich Franklin
Welterweight Bouts
Matt Serra vs. Karo Parisyan
Nick Diaz vs. Koji Oishi
Middleweight Bouts
David Louiseau vs. Charles McCarthy
Nathan Quarry vs. Shonie Carter
Light Heavyweight Bout
Forrest Griffin vs. Bill Mahood
Heavyweight Bout
Paul Buentello vs. Kevin Jordan
Forrest and Nate from the ultimate fighter are on the card, Nate wouldve won over Diego Sanchez in my opinion had he not got injured.
Evan Tanner vs Rich Franklin is the huge matchup on this card. I would like to see Franklin win the belt.
Andrei Arlovski should knock out Justin Eilers, Arlovski is a bad motherfucker.

Me too!
However i saw Ailers in action last night, and he won with a 25 second knockout in the first round after a brute of a right hand.
It was his first UFC bout.
I wouldnt expect him to be a roll over.

UFC 53
was great! Great win for
Franklin
, but
Tanner
showed once again he can really take alot of damage, shame the main event did not last longer
Eilers
would never of won but he was unlucky to lose how he did proper shit how his leg fucked up. On a couple of sidenotes it was good to see
Mick Foley
briefly interviewed, funny how he said if he was fighting
Andrei Arlovski
he'd climb out of the
Octagon
and run...i'd do the same thing, i also noticed while they interviewed
Chuck Liddel
they had
Velvet Revolver
's
Headspace
playing in the background.

Dude Rich Franklin is a beast, I dont know if anyone can beat this guy.
Nate and Forrest looked impressive last night in their debuts.
Andrei Arlovski vs Frank Mir will be a fucking war, Arlovski looks indestructable though.
Matt Serra shouldve won but he got too cocky and blew it.
that dude named "The Crow" was ok with his spinning back kick that crushed that dudes ribs.

Nate fought on the undercard which they showed after the Arlovski fight, if u went to bed or turned it off after the main even u missed it. Nate destroyed that dude.
U didnt miss much Timothy, wasnt a great event.
UFC i think have dropped the ball somewhat, they had so much momentum from that TV show but have put on back to back just ok shows
they shouldve really loaded the cards up and capitalized on the TV show.
UFC 54
Randy Courture is fighting Mike VanArsdale and Chuck Liddell is defending his belt against the man who gave him his first defeat Jeremy Horn, that is in August sometime, Ill get the exact date, its the 24th or somewhere through there.

Just shows Bravo's billing of the event as "Live" was a pile of shit, as i didnt see the Nate fight either!
However much props for them for showcasing the quickest emerging sport in the UK. Im glad they picked up the ball that Sky dropped, dont think my evenings would be the same without my UFC fix...
The David Louiseau finish was the best finish i have seen for sometime in the UFC.
Nasty...there had to be a few broken ribs there.
