Fuck people.  Roll Eyes

Slash is always happy with whatever he's doing at the moment.

He was happy with Slash's Snakepit.

He was happy with the revamped version of Slash's Snakepit.

He's happy with Velvet Revolver.

But none of that means he wouldn't rather still be in Guns N' Roses under the circumstances he, to use his own words, "considered optimum."

Not a chance.

He has no reason to leave. He's in a very successful band right now, he's still with close friends and there isn't any of that turmoil that existed in G n' R.  IMO VR is just gonna get bigger.

G n' R was a train wreck from the start. And G n' R today, still  is a train wreck, minus the music.

Slash did his time, he doesn't have or want to go through the ringer again to get a record out.

And lets not foget the lawsuit.  Honestly, if Slash wanted back in Guns I think he would have dropped, better yet,  not ever filed suit against Axl.

Our chances of seeing a Guns reunion are as good as seeing a NHL game this year.

I think Slash has always been very perplexed by Axl's behavior and disappointed that he couldn't make it work with him.  So I do think even if they never played together again (which is more than likely) that Slash would like to talk to him at least, despite all the legal issues.

As cool as a guns reunion or whatever would be, I dont think its very likely, and in my oppinion, VR is looking better and better compared to newGNR. They may be minus Axl, but there performing, releasing, recording...not stringin the diehards along like this lol. Not that I wouldnt love to see slash playing behind Axl again, with Duff and Matt there too.

I think Slash has great respect for the legacy he left in Guns and is proud of what they acheived

He does seem a happy-go-lucky type but also has a strong work ethic, always wanting to keep busy playing and touring

Him and present day Axl couldnt really be further apart

I don't think Slash would be human if he didn't feel a lot of pride and nostalgia when he sees kids wearing GNR shirts.

I'd assume that he regrets the way that GNR finished and the fact that he couldn't make it work with Axl.

I don't think Slash would want to go back to GNR at this point in time. Right now he seems completely contented with what he is doing. He is in a new band that is successful. He is able to tour and make music he enjoys. There is no reason for him to go back to GNR. Why would he go back to all of the stress of dealing with Axl when he already has it good?

NO!
Eveytime someone asks them something on Axl or GNR issues take a look on their faces.
How would you like to be together with someone like Axl for 10 years?
Bin Laden or Bush are babies for Axl.

Errrrrm, you say come back to GNR?

There is no GNR without Slash Izzy and Duff!!

Axl`s solo attempt ( which he calls gnr and anybody with more than 2 brain cells knows that it isnt the case! ) hasnt even got off the starting blocks in over 10 years of nothing ! not even a courteous hello and thank u + update for all the ` fans ` ?

Now, if axl were to make a public statement about how his mental issues made him think he was GNR and appologise to the fans for fucking eveyone over, change the name of his solo effort, and last but now least appologise to Slash Duff Matt Izzy Gilby and anyone else he`s shafted over the whole GNR downfall due to him being a  self indulgent fuckwitted asshole whos out of touch with reality, then maybe things could turn around for the better!

There is no GNR without Slash Izzy and Duff!!

November 7th, 1991 - Izzy Stradlin leaves GN'R.

December 5th, 1991 - The first show of the second US leg of the tour in Worcester, MA. with Soundgarden opening.

Axl`s solo attempt ( which he calls gnr and anybody with more than 2 brain cells knows that it isnt the case! ) hasnt even got off the starting blocks in over 10 years of nothing ! not even a courteous hello and thank u + update for all the ` fans ` ?

10 years makes me so freakin upset when i read that shit

it hasnt been 10 years since we've heard from axl, for fucks sake he did the VMA's and a brief tour in 2002.

lets see Duff didnt quit till 97 or so correct?

so Axl pretty? much started from scratch in 1998

here is what Axl had to do in no particular order

1.replace the members WHO QUIT! do u know how hard it is to find a band? i am an independent musician and i cant find hardly one other person i can work with so can u appreciate how hard it must be for Axl to find an entire band of guys that have chemistry and can work together?
2. he has lawsuits galore. i think he is holding up the CD release till all this shit with Slash and Duff is resolved, i think he'd hate for Duff and Slash to somehow be able to block the album or hurt the album with some sort of lawsuit

3. he had to mourn the deaths of a lot of people and mourn the loss of his bandmates who he felt betray him

4 he learned guitar, learned how to use the latest technology, correct me if im wrong but i dont think they had protools and stuff like that back when the illusions were recorded, correct me if im wrong cause im not sure

so he studied and became an expert at that.

next he rehearsed with the new band, gelled and started writing songs

for a normal band 5/6 years would be a very long time

given the circumstances to Axl and all he's had to rearrange and do, that isnt that long in reality.

When we get CD, his voice will be amazing.  All of the effects will fix his voice.  When you go to the concert, it will blow.  I saw nu gnr twice.  once on Dec 29 2001 and once Detroit 2002.  Great shows, but Axl's voice can't handle a full show anymore.  Paradise City is where his lost ability to sing/scream most obvious.  When he screams now he sounds like a girl.  it sounds gae.

I don't think Slash is wanting to come back to GNR. GNR is part of his history in rock music and I'm sure he is proud of that fact. While I'm sure he would have preferred a more civilized closure to the whole thing, in the end, Slash has always done what Slash has wanted to do.

1999- Slash said that just a phone call by Axl would make him return into GN'R
2002- Slash came to see a GN'R show at "Hard-Rock cafe Las Vegas". but Axl's bodyguards told him to leave the place.
2004 - VR plays GN'R cover songs during their shows. Most people know this is also the best part of their gigs....
2005 - Slash is "proud" when people came to VR concerts with GN'R tee-shirts.

I really feel he wants to return, he still loves a lot GN'R.
Slash changes his story every time he tells a story.  First, he doesn't want people recognizing GN'R during VR shows, and now he's proud that they recognize GN'R?

I think that if Slash wanted to go back, he would talk to Axl.

Youre showing a real penchant for inventing these VR-related quotes...
