Dont you feel that Slash wants to come-back into GN'R?

1999- Slash said that just a phone call by Axl would make him return into GN'R
2002- Slash came to see a GN'R show at "Hard-Rock cafe Las Vegas". but Axl's bodyguards told him to leave the place.
2004 - VR plays GN'R cover songs during their shows. Most people know this is also the best part of their gigs....
2005 - Slash is "proud" when people came to VR concerts with GN'R tee-shirts.

I really feel he wants to return, he still loves a lot GN'R.

I mean, who wouldnt?Gn?R was Slash most important band (for the moment), it had great music, great songs, and for some time, they were all best friends.But I dont think he is that much desperate.Now he has a new kick ass band in wich he has friends too.I think what he says is, "I?m proud of being in Gn?R, I still love Axl, and I would say no if Axl asked me to come back, but for the ?ti?me VR is my band and I?m having a blast with the guys"

Of course he's going to be proud when people where GN'R tees at his gigs, he was part of the band for their entire current recording history (minus one song).

im sure he is happy with VR and things are great but come on, u dont have that much success and do that much in a band and just walk away without any regrets.
 

its not a diss on slash either but im sure he and Duff wishes things had turned out differently with Axl

bottom line is, if Axl didnt get self absorbed and let his ego get out of control, GNR never wouldve broke up.

so im sure they miss GNR and im sure Axl misses them from time to time

Agree. I think that all of them (including Izzy) would go back if they managed to sort out the differences - but it's impossible since they are grown men, they went into different directions in the last 10 years, and while it's easy to make friends when you are a teen or in your early 20s, as time goes by, you'll lose friends, because all of you will have his/her own personality. Like childs are very similar in their mind with each year they become more and more different and unique. That's why I don't believe that there will be a reunion in the near future (or even in this life), because as I see there is only one chance for that t happen: if they become much much wiser, see how ridiculous this whole music business and life is, and they can work together for the joy of the work, nobody wants to control and nobody wants to run away, nobody wants to be the only and biggest star and nobody's jealous. Considering that only a small minoroty of human beings can reach that level of wisdom, and here is 5 guys ego is needed, that will never happen. Or it happens for the money, but it's not the same, although I'd happy with them doing their own things, but having a reunion tour in every 8 years like Black Sabbath does.

I suppose he might feel a little nostalgic when it comes to GN'R ,after all it's the band that made him big and the one he played with for abt 10 yrs, But IMO he's happy with VR and totally unlikely he's going to dump Scott and the rest even if he did get a call to come back to GN'R...

He must be proud because those guys made one of the greatest band of all time (for me it was te greatest). I'd be much more surprised if said that his GN'R past didn't mean much to him. Slash will always be recognized as the guitarist of GN'R and he knows it.

just cause they arent in GNR anymore that doesnt erase what they did, in their minds they will always remain GNR cause they had just as big a role as axl had in making GNR one of the greatest bands ever

just because they are in VR now doesnt mean they turn their backs or forget the legacy they forged in GNR so why wouldnt they be proud?

i guess it makes him proud cause when people wear GNR shirts, that shows that not everyone agrees that Axl Rose is GNR and it makes SLash happy that fans realize the importance of his contributions.

I am one of the biggest axl nuttswingers on the board but im not blind to the importance of the old band and i realize they were equally responsible for GNR's success.

What do you think  would hapen if Slash got a call from Axl saying : I?ve worked things out with Izzy and Steven and I want you and Duff back.
Although I dont see it posible, Slash always says that if that hapened he?d be happy to come back.But do you think he?d be that a bitch and leave Dave Matt and Scott like that?I dont really think so.

I cant picture him agreeing to be one of 8 (or 10 or 12) members of newGNR.? ?I also cant picture him making vague statements about CD's release to the press every few months.? I would have to say that Slash is happy right now with VR.  I am not saying that sometime in the future it isnt possible for a GnR reunion but I don't think he would take GnR over VR right now.

I think the only way that is happening is if it's the original 5. Everyone would have to be on board. And I think he is too content now and something ad would have to happen with velvet revolver. But I wouldn't say even under those circumstances it would be definite. I mean seeing the Guns shirts at shows brings back good memories but I am sure him and all the other guys have plenty of bad ones that they would have to get over.
