I just had a look at the new kerrang mag because they said they reviewed Chinese Democracy sort of I knew it would prob be the songs the played live in 2001 and 2002 and gues what I was right they also said the stuff recorded during the illusion era like Just Another Sunday, Crash Diet, and Dust In The Wind so if you're thinking of getting it, its not worth it

Did Kerrang actually download one of the fake "Chinese Democracy" bootlegs off a file sharing service and review it? I recall seeing "Chinese Democracy" on SoulSeek with the live songs and the songs you mentioned. LMAO. What a piece of shit magazine.

How unprepared can one writer be, and how under-researched is this thing? Kerrang editors let this feces go to print?  Jeez

Is anyone going to write into to Kerrang to get this sorted out, its completely nonsense and as Kerrang is the most widely sold ''metal'' magasine in the UK it has the potential to do considerable damage to the band.

Just another sunday? FFS, does this guy just download stuff off the net? I was expecting 'my fellow americans' and 'white christmas' to turn up to Roll Eyes

That article is one of the poorest examples of "journalism" I've ever seen.  The research, alone, should get the writer sacked.

They don't even seem to notice that Dust in the wind is a cover. I knew that the quality of Kerrang mag had deteriorated, but still I can hardly believe what I've just read  nervous

Some great guitar work on the live recordings from Buckethead - whose playing Axl has reportedly erased from the album tapes since his departure. He also erased the work of departed producers Moby and Roy Thomas Baker, and former NIN guitarist Robin Finck.
buckethead parts stays, several current members says so. The other stuff sure is bs too (robin erased? Roll Eyes )
better fact is that what remain of what producers did\worked on is unknown

That article is an embarrassment, plain and simple.  Embarrassing.  How could he even possible think that songs like Crash Diet and Just Another Sunday are new songs?  All he would have to do is 10 minutes of research to realize that these are old songs.  Plus, he messed up several other simple facts (Oh My God released in 2001; it came out in 1999, and the Blues being played occasionally; it was played virtually every new show).  More reason for Axl to lash out at Kerrang in his songs Smiley.

gnrvrrule may be onto something here.  Could Kerrang be looking for some free publicity?  The first time I ever heard of Kerrang was in Get in the Ring off UYI2.  This article is written as if they want to get slammed by Uncle Axl.  Whatever it takes to sell copy.   no

I try to ignore any articles written about GN'R without actually interviewing a past or present member.? I'm not interested in what some asshole thinks would make a good Guns cd and then rave about the new Usher or other POP shit to hit the market.? I can honestly say that this is the worst article I have ever read.? Journalist are supposed to pride themselves with fact finding and reporting the truth.? This article was anything but the truth and served as nothing more than a way for Kerrang to sell magazines by whoring out the GN'R name.? rant

Does anyone have the contact information for Kerrang. I cant seem to get their "contact us" section on the website working.

Someone send the article to Merck, get him to forward it to Axl, then he can write another song slagging Kerrang off. They deserve it.

Its almost insulting to read that article, the writer obviously has no knowledge of guns n roses past and present.

Absolutly apporling!

Just to add: Buckethead didn't play the solo, his guitar is almost inaudible on The Blues! Roll Eyes

I guess the moron who wrote this article (I refused to call him journalist, as I am) took some info from some really cool website with its last update in 02/2001.  hihi
