Let's say in a perfect world, Axl could patch things up with Steven and Izzy. In this scenario he could re-recruit them back into the band. Would anyone take them over the current members or would you stick with the new guns??{I  didn't mention Duff, Matt or Slash because they are in a pretty sucessful project at the moment and it would be nearly impossible to draw them away from VR} {I mentioned Izzy and Steven in this because they are in solo projects and it would be easier to draw them away from their current projects}

I wouldn't take Steven back, given the history that he has with the old band. I don't think he is someone who could be trusted again.

I don't think Axl would take Izzy back simply because I don't think Izzy's style is consistent with axl's vison for new gnr, based on songs like Madagascar, Rhiad, OMG, ect.

I would hope the parties involved would patch things up, for the sake of their own lives.

I would love to see Izzy and Steven back.  Despite Steven's storied history of turmoil and drugs, I think he's come a long way since the old days.  However, I'm not sure if anything could patch things up with either of them.  Izzy's withdrawal from the band created such a deep rift with Axl that I doubt things could be patched up.  As for Steven, he sued the band...whether he was in the right or wrong, it would be hard to patch things up after that.

It would be amazing to see though!  Wink

I don`t want Steven back in the Band, but I`d love to see Izzy back.

Psychologically, you could consider this a reunion tour because I`ve managed to find enough pieces of my mind in order to be with you here tonight - - Axl Rose, Chicago 2002

good Q...
I don't think either would be welcome bk (apparently Izzy tried to visit Ax's home, and Ax didn't want him over.  This happend LONG ago).
Personally, I've always thaought Izzy was the glue in gnr--kept Slash and Axl in ck/balance (since they were the main driving force and somethimes butted heads).  I also feel that Izzy was a main contributor to the musical content, although I don't have proof of this.
I would really feel that the nuGNR would benefit w/ having Izzy back (although this wouldn't happen) bc I think Axl and Izzy made a good partnership in the past.  However, Izzy's solo material is quite rmv'ed from gnr...although I'm sure if he were in a band situation, he would adapt to fit the band....

Steven on the other hand, doesn't seem very musically "critical" when it comes to making music.  However, on AFD he had a unique style (disco-ish/energetic)---although I am no drum critic!

Aside: I find it actually strange that Izzy worked with Steven recently, don't you guys think so?  I mean, on the outside, they never seemed similar/friends...they seemed different....

Aso: isn't it odd that Izzy worked w/ VR?  It would've been soooo odd if he would've stayed w/ them.

personally i hope they can get back together again, and i mean ALL 5 of them. just like the eagles or duran duran...at least just for a concert tour  Grin for $$$$$$$ sake  Grin

seriously speaking, i like izzy alot and i think he write good songs. in fact, except for steven, slash, duff and izzy are real talented musicians in their own right. thats why axl's way doesnt really work with these guys who have their own mind. just look at the eagles and u know what i mean  Grin

izzy would be a welcome addition back.
