the publishing deal is for the old gnr material not chinese democracy. Anyway gnr need to get a new guitarist so they can re-record the BH parts. This album wont come out anytime soon, not if slash n duffs lawyers have anything to do with it. I think we should all not think about chinese democracy coming out, just enjoy the old material |

I don't sense anything more happening then lets say, when they played '02 VMA's and actually toured. Axl signed over his rights to his share of Gn'R material, and we're hearing the same horse shit just a diffrent color from the rest of the band. I'll get excited when axl wheels out in his wheels chair and croaks "Chinese Democracy is finnaly out, I've cloned '87 era Gn'R, and they're ready to tour".

I still stand by the fact that this album will never be released. I remember how excited everyone was when the US tour started and the VMA's thing happened. That was the closest I ever got to thinking it was done. Now you people think that because of a news snippet of a publishing deal that this thing is prepared to be released? Come on guys... I'd be willing to make some bets that we will not have an announcement in February. Nothing outrageous, but serious bets that would be paid through paypal.

Why does it imply that he has handed the album over to them? I agree its pretty unlikely Sanctuary would have handed over $10m without hearing the tracks and being satisfied they are mostly complete, but this doesn't mean the album has been handed over. I get the impression that Tommy and Dizzy will return to the studio after their respective tours, but again thats pure speculation...they could equally return to assist with preparations for the launch. If they are returning to the studio, I doubt their will be an announcement. But then again my opinion is changing from day to day...I guess thats part of the fun of being a gnr fan and a member of this board!  |
