Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

« on: January 26, 2005, 06:53:54 AM »

I don't know if it's the same situation in America, maybe not, but here in Europe people are hungry to see GN'R concerts and listen to GN'R music Live. The greatest Hits has sold very well here. I can garantee you that GN'R can sell out arenas here and even sell out a couple of stadiums there and then (Wembley Stadium is possible). I heard it's nearly the same situation in South America, remember the RIR 2001, the immense majority of the 200.000 people were there for GN'R. However, in America, I don't know.
GN'R should tour in Europe and South America, this is where people are really hungry to see them.

hmm I agree, nu-metal killed a lot of GNR fans in the US.

blabbermouth.net is full of americans and the only gnr fans  over there are either from south america or europe, the rest are just haters and bashers.

I think your absolutly correct.. I dont know how well he would do in american right now but it seems to me that the South American fans and European Fans would be more open and receptive to a Guns n Roses concert..

They have always been bigger rock fans anyways... In america most people listen to shit... look at how well Ashlee Simpson can do and how much radio play she gets.. and she sucks..

I from Holland and I know for sure that they would sell out here. GNR is very trendy again....peeps on the street wearing GNR wear as if it was 1989...no that's overreacting, but there is definitely a huge appetite for some real rock n roll.... teh old style rock n roll is becoming trendy again, so I guess GNR would do very well.....

I agree with you 100% Nesquick they would definetely sell out in England and I imagine the rest of europe would be the same! However Wembley Stadium would not be a possibility cos its not even half-way rebuilt yet!!!!

Unlikely they'll be playing in England though. The majority of promoters aren't willing to take on Axl until he has proved that he can do a tour without a cancellation or a riot. And certain promoters are still bearing a grudge after the Carling Festival incident in 2002.

They've got the Rock-Am Ring thing, and if Linkin Park can play it, I'm sure Guns can. hihi

Maybe those people should go see a VR show and see all the GN'R shirts in the audience....  hihi

Now that I think about it, I didn't even see one STP shirt, but I did see plenty of GN'R shirts.

Sure, some of the people wearing those shirts were Duff/Slash fans and might not go see GN'R, but there's some Axl fans who didn't go see VR. So it evens out. Wink

well, maybe next year in 2006. It would be great to see the new-Gn'R play at Wembleyy Stadium (version 2.0) in front of 90.000 people, and then to release that show in DVD. peace
