for me it's punk... terrible... no melody, little rhythm and the majority of the lyrics have the exact same premise... "bring chaos bring destruction blah blah blah fuckity blah"ok... we get it, you want anarchy... esp. new punk uggggggh.

anyway thats why i dont dig punk... some of you might, but i just dont get it.

what are your thoughts

I can't say I really despise any type of music.. the RnB you see nowadays on MTV is pretty annoying, though.

It's easier to state particular artists like Celine Dion, Anastacia, etc.

I hear what your saying. It can get a bit redundant. A little goes a long way for me. But I still appreciate it and it's contribution. But there are some good bands to check out like -- Husker Du, The Replacements.

yea but almost every form of music has been an influence on rock and roll...thats what makes it different from other genres and thats why its so damn good

i cant stand boybands, but id take the girlbands without the music... yes

most rap and cheesy repetitive pop music is annoying...but like most other music including jazz

i cant stand certain singers/bands like Destinys Child, Kylie Minogue, INXS and more blech!

That's the same bullshit fans of the Beatles use, the caveman who first banged a stick against a wall was the pionner of music, do we need to celebrate him too?

Gotta say there is a vast swathe of music i detest - especially 'pop-punk - Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Less than Jake, u know what i mean - metal for those not into metal and afriad it might eat them.

99% of Rap, 'pop', r'n'b also make the list.

One of the founders of punk (sex pistols) Said their main influence was Alice Cooper.
They said why try N' play something that is already perfect, refering to Alice Cooper.

I cant stand rap i cant believe they call that shit music. Sometimes it has a bass in it but that is about it. Fuck rap.
Why do they call it RN'B that is sposed to stand for rytham n blues. They rytham is all the fuckin same, from mnm to 50c to snoop dog to all these stupid fucks. And blues has feeling and heart, so if these dickheads wanna call it RN'B they need to change the words to rubbish N' bullshit.

I am a huge hater of the pop punk that has been sweeping the nation for the past few years. The two bands I hate the most out of that genre are Simple Plan and Good Charlotte. Man, talk about a bunch of fuckin' pussies...

I also hate the emo/screamo bullshit. Specifically, bands like Senses Fail or Thursday. I also hate Dashboard confessional. Write about something besides fuckin chick problems.

Singing would be one big difference.  Anyways, if you READ what you originally posted you said that Eminem, 50, or Snoop are being called "R&B", which is not true.  The radio may group artists from different genres together, but the same thing is done on rock radio... It would be the same as someone coming on here calling "Hard Rock", "Classic Rock", or "Metal" the same thing.  You may think that the "R&B of today" is a disgrace to the "R&B of yesterday", and that's fine, I wasn't commenting on that.

The bottom line is you're sticking by your: "I don't call it rap music, I call it CRAP music!"... and I think that's splendid.
