Check this out while you can before it gets locked like my other thread did...

Not sure if this has been posted before, but check this out:

Feb 05 Chapel Hill, NC       Cat's Cradle Solo Acoustic Set with Dave Phillips from The Catholics

Feb 07 Atlanta, GA            Smithe's Olde Bar Solo Acoustic Set  with Dave Phillips from
The Catholics

He's playing in North Carolina on the 5th, and Atlanta on the 7th. He's off on the 6th. And, isn't it coincidental that the Super Bowl is in Jacksonville, Florida? For all intents and purposes, that's right between those two states. Now, I'm not saying that GN'R is going to show up, but who's to say that Stinson can't show up as a bass player for Paul? (Yes, I know Paul is technically a bassist, but he could also play guitar or keyboards/piano if he wanted to.) Of course, the only way this scenario would work out to begin with is if Axl was going to show up in the first place.

Seems possible/probable to me. Only two weeks to go until we find out!

Maybe there's a good reason some things get locked.? This theory was already posted by Prucc over two hours ago in the Superbowl Sunday thread.

You're crazy......
GnR will not be playing the SuperBowl..
Right now, from what we've seen/heard, the band hasn't even rehearsed in several months, if not over a year.
If Axl actually had the opportunity to play with Paul McCartney (which I can't think of a single reason why the NFL would want him to), you better believe his band would be rehearsing like freaks up until the day
of the super bowl, not playing solo dates.

Booker,

I never liked you, and you're not exactly doing anything to help me change my mind. That was totally pointless response, and it just shows how much of a fucking dick you really are. If you don't like it, keep your opinions to yourself, and let those who are actually interested in them comment. I'll never figure out how you didn't get banned yet, because all you do is try to come off as better than anyone else here. Fuck off.

b) Tommy couldn't find anywhere to play that night

c) He wanted a Sunday off

I thought North Carolina and Georgia were both north of Florida.

a day off?? what is that?HuhHuhHuh? Huh

I don't have one of those as I own a business and I work all the time Grin

Superbowl Sunday is just a regular day

Only difference is you plan a party or attend one.

If you work in a bank........yeah, you have the day off...........if you work for the government..........yes, you have a day off.

It all depends where you work.? Hospitality (what I do) is a 24 hour 7 day a week thing.

And for the poster who needs help with geography...........yes, Atlanta and North Carolina are north of Florida.

I am flying from Tampa to Atlanta to see Tommy on Feb. 7th.

It's only over an hour by plane vs. a 7 hour drive...........but from Jax to Atlanta.........it's not far at all by car. ok

My idea:

e) Tommy had that day set aside for quite some time, because, due to the hectic recording schedule that ongoes with CD, something had to be done with that hangnail
