Queen to tour again...could GNR be far behind?

Queen will be touring again, from what I heard on the radio this morning. They'll definitely be touring Europe, could GNR join them? I know Axl was/is a fan of their music. Any thoughts? I'm hopeful.

I don?t think so. Simply because I don?t think GNR would tour with big names kinda from the ice age. But yeah, Axl could show up as a guest.

Yes, he could. If they're touring Axl's basement. Otherwise, no.
Just lose hope like I did, then it's really hard to be dissapointed!

I could see GNR joining them only if FM decided to be part of the deal.

I understand why they're doing it, and I give them props for trying, but Queen touring without Freddie Mercury is like, ...I don't know...GnR touring without Axl Rose. Just doesn't work.

I understand why some of you have the opinion that gnr touring without slash, duff, izzy/gilby, steven/matt isn`t working although i have not that opinion, but i think it`s another thing when you
play without the singer of a band as when you play without the rest of the bandmembers. I think the singer is the most identifying part of a band, because of his voice (What would Nirvana have been without Kurt`s Voice??? Or Gnr without Axl`s???). I don`t know any other band than Queen, that continued to play without it`s singer, but there are lots of bands that continued without some other members(Gnr
, Metallica......)
And I think that Gilby was as little a real Gnr member as Matt was, but this has nothing to do with this topic

Psychologically, you could consider this a reunion tour because I`ve managed to find enough pieces of my mind in order to be with you here tonight - - Axl Rose, Chicago 2002

ac\dc and judaspriest wen't on succesfully
anyway, glad axl cary the name forward, best that way imo
Again is queen considered as an arena act? someone should ask about gnr's touring plans since-
Tommy was earlier a little vague of if they needed a third guitarplayer, which dosen't make rio4 make any sense
Stinson plans to tour for Village Gorilla Head, but his road trips may be somewhat limited by Guns N' Roses, who are finishing up their long-awaited album, Chinese Democracy, in fits and starts.
"There are just so many little aspects that are being finalized on that record that every once in a while someone will go, 'God, I just realized you hit a bad note in this one place. We just found it.' And I'll go in and sort it out."
Aver having worked with a long list of producers ? including Roy Thomas Baker, Bob Ezrin, Sean Beavan and Moby ? Axl Rose has taken over production duties for the album, Stinson said. The reason the disc isn't done yet, he added, is because Rose is a methodical perfectionist who wants to make the creation of Chinese Democracy as democratic as possible.
"He likes to take all the members of the band and get the best out of each guy for each song," Stinson said. "It's a brilliant process that gets everyone involved so everyone owns a piece of the song because they've put themselves into it. That way you don't have people going, 'Well, I'm not gonna play on his song if you're not gonna sing on my song.' And that's a lengthy process because you have to get eight people to basically write a song together that everyone likes."
Stinson added that he thinks the record is finally almost done, and the only thing that's holding back its completion is legal issues.
Even the recent departure of guitarist Buckethead isn't slowing anything down. "As far as I know, he hasn't been replaced,
but we already have enough guitarists,"
Stinson said. "We have Robin Finck and Richard Fortus, and Buckethead will be on the record, too.
I really have no idea why he decided to leave, but it didn't come out of left field because he's always come and gone. Even when I do see him, I don't know what he thinks."

That tour was a failure any way you look at it - unless you consider GnR playing to half empty arenas for the most part, Axl storming off stage, not showing up, etc... "working fine".
On the other hand, Axl has lowered the bar so drastically low re: expectations & producing results I can see how an Axl fan would consider the 2002 tour "fine".

well... i've always figured GN'R would tour in Europe /abroad before doing a US tour
so the timing for GN'R and Queen to be touring Europe at the same time could work out
But - I don't think they would tour together

I honestly would't care who they toured with. But whenever it happens, do you really think GnR will tour without a new album? I think it's a pretty safe bet they won't make the same mistake twice. So I predict a solid album release date and/or single before they announce tour. Of course they could do it all at once... I'm sure Axl would like for stadiums to be full this time around. And the only way to do that is to put out the damn album already. Since the album is sure to be huge I'm sure that will create the buzz they need for a successful tour.

Let's see... Van Halen is probably the best example... Journey is still playing without Steve Perry

sure...queen is touring, so that mean gnr
has
to tour as well...what the hell? people are so desperate for something from gnr these days they will link them to any event at this point...the super bowl, the vma's, now the queen tour...sorry, but sometimes you just have to sit down and think things through logically, no matter how desperate you may be...logically, queen has nothing to do with gnr...why would gnr suddenly decide to tour just because queen is?

Brian May has gone a bit mad in one of the UK papers today at those criticising the rest of the band for wanting to play live songs that they wrote.
They are doing a fan club only show at Brixton in March with tickets at ?55 a pop, and are then doing an AIDS awareness gig in South Africa, a UK tour will follow, probably April or May.
Guns won't be touring with Queen this year.
