Don't get me wrong, K-DST has some good tunes on it....but I like about 1/2 of 'em.  The Alt station...about 90%.

Working on getting his lines from the script.  Not sure if I'll be able to or not....but trying.  Anyway, we'll all prolly know within the next day or so.  You know SOMEONE is gonna buy it and transcribe 'em (maybe me...we'll see).

What an amazing commercial! The scenes and the music are so well put together, I think it'll go down as one of the greatest video game commercials ever. It gives WTTJ a whole new life for the 21st century. Of course, WTTJ is one of only a few songs ever that I can listen to over and over again and never ever get sick of it. I was overcome with emotion watching the commercial because based on what I reading here, this is an Axl Rose production - this is something that he probably backed harder for than any of the former members. And to consider how hard it is to license GNR songs for anything these days - they did it in such a way as to enhance the legacy of GNR and this will certainly have some younger fans checking out GNR material in the months to come.

The only shame is that AXL has so much talent - in 1993 he was talking about taking on acting roles in addition to GNR (and rumors of a solo career and in music production). But his life and his music career has become such a mystery (and in many cases a mess) and I have to wonder if this is really the best he can do in the last 11 years away from the spotlight - cuz if being a DJ in a video game is the only way he can promote himself and his abilities, that's sad. Perhaps it may be the beginning of something, but I doubt it. We've had other signs of more promise and he's let the fans down every time.

I'm glad at least he's doing something and that it was done well, but he's gotta stop hiding - whether its in his hotel room, in a strip club, in his mansion, in Buenos Aires Agentina, or even in a video game  character and show the world a 2nd wind.

Remember, mark, Axl's DJ appearance hasn't exactly been a well-publicized thing, and isn't, by any stretch, being used as a marketing point.  It's just a cool little "extra" that the guys at Rockstar (along with the other celeb cameos) decided to throw in.

The game is officially out in the US tomorrow, but preorders will be able to get it tonight around 7 in most places.  I've got about 3 hours before I go to pick it up.  I probably won't be able to post any spoilers before Friday because I might still be playing the game then.
