It makes me wonder how they could use an old version of SCOM without having Axl put a stop to it.

Side note, even though it is a gangsta character this time, the new GTA will kick major ass.  They have had enough time to work on this game, should be one of the best ever made.

it's the same engine as the previous 2. I know it will be good, but it's just going to be the same thing with a few new vehicles types.

Hopefully GTA 4 will come out later for the Xbox. Then, like with 3, I can play my own tracks on the games radio. I can have a station with nothing but new GNR if I wanted to.

SCOM is more of an 80's song and should of been on GTA Vice City sense it takes place in the 80's. They should of picked a song from GnR that came out in the 90's

I remember thinking that but the actual storyline of GTA Vice City takes place a couple of years before GN'R were signed.

What Axl has a problem with is current movies using his songs from the 80's/90's when modern recordings from the current band are available. But this game is supposed to be 80's/90's, so it wouldn't make much sense to use the new recordings.

its a small update , but i thought that i'd keep y'all in the loop

The Guns N' Roses tune "Welcome To The Jungle" is featured on the new trailer for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

http://www.rockstargames.com/sanandreas/

go there and check out the movies section.? the song is used very effectively in my opinion, and it gets me psyched up for the game.? ?

WTTJ is a much better song for a driving game than SCOM. Really makes you do bad things  Smiley

SCOM did seem a little out of place in that game.  I mean my god, Jungle is about urban decay.

I just found this and thought it was pretty cool, WTTJ is the theme for the official GTA:San Andreas trailer.
I'd heard a GN'R would feature on the soundtrack, guess its Welcome to The Jungle then Smiley
I wonder if any other GN'R songs will feature. How cool is it going to be stealing old ladys cars and goin on a killing spree with WTTJ blasting in the background to fuel the mayhem, a fitting anthem  ok

Check it out: http://www.rockstargames.com/sanandreas/    (goto movies and choose "official trailer")

Well, I've already loaded all my GN'R albums onto the X-Box so I can play them on the radio on GTA3...

Yeah I just heard it. Jungle is incredible and eminently suited to this game. Hopefully a new generation of fans will have the opportunity to discover what one of the greatest bands of all time sounds like and equally important, what real music is.

Is it the original verson of WTTJ or a re-recorded version featuring the new line-up like it was suggested?

While part of me thinks that doing a version with the new band for GTA:SA would be a fantastic promotional opportunity, there's another part that says "yes, but the game's set in the early Nineties..."

Gotta have that historical authenticity. It's one of the reasons why I don't play my GN'R tracks in Vice City...

Finally some great GNR news.  Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is going to kick ass, and to get some real GNR as the theme song is just awesome.
