Ok the concept of this thread is very simple (and not very original) but fuck it i'm bored.? This is a good way to give an insight into what bands you like, feel free to put reasons why as well, put simply you list the alphabet A-Z and for each letter you put which your favourite band is for the letter (i'll do it so you should understand) also as a rule and please try and follow it don't bother putting 2 bands for a letter, just put one, don't say it's a tie or it's to hard to decide....grow some damn balls and decide, it doesn't matter if you don't like the band so much it's the one you like most for that letter! [Solo Artist
DO count btw] Just put N/A for a letter you have nobody at all for? Ok here goes:
Alice Cooper - A legend for some many decades his latest album proved he is still relevant and just as good as when he released songs like
School's Out &
Hey StoopidBon Jovi - Well you'll know by now i am a big fan of theirs and there is so much more to them than
Slippery When Wet they have not only written some of the best pop/rock songs e.g.
Born To Be My Baby but also some of the best rock ballads ever e.g.
AlwaysCinderella - This band is the 80s, it's the cheese, the catchy songs and the great solo's and you know what...i love it!....check out
Nothin' For Nothin'Def Leppard - Only a recent fan of this band but the new double disc greatest hits has impressed me so much i will definately be buying more of their stuff!
Enuff Z'Nuff - Underated yet Solid Rock band who constantly release good album after good album yet nobody notices.
Faith No More -
The Real Thing is one of those albums which i like but that's all it's the albums
Angel Dust &
King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime that make me like this band so much, true legends and so underated.? You ask someone to name a
FNM song chances are you'll get
Epic, when they should be naming
Midlife Crisis or
Everything's RuinedGuns N' Roses - The best band ever? I think so and that's why i live on this board
Hanoi Rocks - One of the above's influences a great band full of fun, catchy tunes,
Self Destruction Blues being a classic album, and to come back in 2003 with one of if not the favourite album of mine by them to date they are amazing...still waiting to see them live...
Iron Maiden - My mate once said, i don't like 'em it doesn't matter how much i listen to them i can't take 'em seriously they sing about stupid stuff....lyrically i don't rave about them...but you'll struggle to find many vocalists better than
Bruce Dickinson, a band with better guitarists or one who can keep on putting out album after album without keeping their fans waiting long...it must be great to have these as your fave band
Jeff Buckley - Not many others to put for this letter and the album
Grace was so chilled out and maginifcent
KISS - Cheese again but it's all good, the image was one thing but they had the catchy tunes to back it up
L.A. Guns? - What i often see as the second-rate
GN'R, plenty of great albums never really up to the same standard but still fantastic to listen to.
Monster Magnet - The kings of Stoner Rock...i could write ten pages plus on them but i always go on about them so all i'll say is get all their damn albums they are one of the best bands to ever walk on the planet
Nine Inch Nails - The band that got me into 'Industrial' music and one of my few contacts with the genre,
Pretty Hate Machine is one of the best albums of the 80s although it's always
The Downward Spiral that gets mentioned...so unfair!
Orange Goblin - The second band of Stoner Rock,
The Big Black being my personal favourite album
Pantera - Sadly never to be seen together again w/
Dimebag, tracks like
Walk,
Cemetary Gates &
Cowboys From Hell make this band stuff of legend
Q - N/A
Rolling Stones - Can't believe i forgot about them [i've got them listed under 'The' Rolling Stones on my computer so that's probably why they passed be by alphabet wise.
Skid Row - With both vocalists
Sebastian Bach &
Johnny Solinger they have put out great albums all different in their own way from catchy 80s rock...to rock/metal...to metal...and rock/metal with a new vocalist add to that a covers EP......you'll struggle to beat 'em
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - The only reason i checked out this band was becausew of the '89 VMA's and i am so happy i did there is so much to them, chilled out rock albums in every decade from the 70s and consistently good,
Tom Petty's vocals and writing skills have remained impecable
Ugly Kid Joe - The most underated 90s band,
America's Least Wanted is one of the best albums of the 90s and after that album nobody remembered them although Menace To Sobriety & Motel California were still great albums...shame...although
Whitfield Crane [the vocalist] can be found on several
AC/DC &
Metallica tribute albums and in the one album band
MedicationVelvet Revolver - The supergroup with those
GN'R people, a good debut, more to come...great!
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again!...Need i say more?
