The interviewer insisted on Duffs opinion of the VMAs, asking if he felt it was screwing with the GNR legacy, and Duff said thats exactly what he felt.? He said he expected more after all that time, but he still looks at the GNR thing as a glass half-full: five street urchins, blah, blah, blah.? Slash tried to dead the issue, but the interviewer asked another Axl question, and Duff jokingly asked "Are you leading toward 'sweet revenge'?"? He made it clear theres no grudges and theyre all about VR.? Matt and Slash both their success is vindicating, but Slash added that "Its not the motivation behind it."? I didnt hear Matt call it sweet revenge, only Duff joking to the interviewer.

The VMA's were pretty bad i have it on my hard drive. Axl didnt come through with that performence. Not only the sinnging but Axl doesnt look too cool either.

well i suppose it took slash 3 albums before he felt he could say he was vindicated for leaving GNR. he deserves the success but it's funny snakepit is kinda consigned to a dustbin forever now!

I think GNR sounded great on WMA, Axl was the one who sounded horrible... nu-Gnr is actually a very very good instrumental band and I think that during live performances Axl is the weakest link... but Axl compensates that with his personality and the magic he does in studio

I agree. Problem w/Axl (among many) is that he has off nights live. Sometimes he is great live, but sucks he was not at peak form when most were watching. But the band kicked total ass.
