unlikely for GnR or what I said?

Unlikely for GNR. What you said was a lot more likely.

 Huh
GN'R already were at the VMA's, that was a shocker. To see them again on New Years, not shocking. And isn't Tommy on the road?Huh?

Here are more threads we could have:

- Will GN'R be the surprise guest at the Grammy Awards?

- Will GN'R play at MTV's Movie Awards?

- GN'R @ VMA05?

- GN'R at EMA05 in Lisbon

My reply in advance is "Not bloody likely" for all the above.

Surprise guest at MTV?again? They?ve done a surprise stunt on telly, as already mentioned.

U2 (who have an album and tour to promote) or a boy band......GNR were a disappointment in alot of peoples eyes the last time they were a huge surprise and have done nothing to push the hype since the video awards.....MTV won't make that mistake twice they will go with the proven track record of U2 or female hormones of a boy band.

Optimism is fine, but this thread is nothing but groundless speculation and wishful
thinking without any basis. Sorry. Keep wishing. It is not going to happen.  Cry

NO NO NO; gnr wont be on MTV new years.  Like someone else pointed out MTV always says that they have some speacial surprise guest that you just cant miss... its standard promo shit.  Besides GNR would have to rehearse and with all the members out doing there stuff and from what i gathered from the Brain interview is that there not rehearsing, and also doesnt Dizzy have a show that day anyways... so NO, its fairly safe that gnr will not be the surprise guest

what would be nice,

GnR - Jungle, Chinese Democracy, Paradise City melody.

and on a huge screen: Chinese Democracy February 12th 2004 (Im being optimistic here! Tongue) at the end of the set with Axl being all like, peace.

But yeah, Motley Crue.
