I would like to know why in the hell there is no stripper who can tell us what chinese democracy sounds like.  Or better yet, any some odd millionth gnr fan that actually listened to Eddie trunks show the night Mike Piazza leaked that song.  You know that mysterious song, that was speculated to be new gnr..... irs, I think it was.

Why does know one report what they heard, I would have gave my left nut for that........it just irritates me.  Its just hard to believe that no one knows anything about it........and it seems that if a gnr fan or any music fan for that matter would just report something.  What is everyones take on how this has not seemingly been heard by the public.  T

I think the "IRS' thing was some kind of hoax. Out of possible millions who could have heard that show, not one person seems to have recorded it!! If they had, that song would be all over the internet. As far as no leaks concerning any of the songs, i'm starting to think that there isnt any songs to leak. In 2002 GNR must have gotten a sudden urge to tour and whipped up the few songs axl had in his bag and toured with them. If Axl had 3 albums worth of material, he wouldnt have kept playing the same few new songs at every show. Cherish those bootlegs people!! Because that is all you will ever hear of chinese democracy. And if by some miracle from god Axl does a 12 to 18 track cd, we have already heard the so called "BIG GUNS'. And those big guns are 'the blues', 'madagascar' and 'chinese democracy'. Thats one of the reasons for the continued wait. The new songs we've already heard is the best he has to offer us. So any talk you hear of 'catcher in the rye', 'there was a time', or 'IRS' being these massive epics is complete and total BULLSHIT!! If those songs are so good, he would have played them during the ill advised tour. Axl needed to blow the critics minds and the fans minds with new material during that tour. And I believe Axl gave the world the best he had on that tour. So if you dont like the 5 new songs he sung during the democracy tour, get ready for a big disappointment if CD ever comes out. I just wish he'd release an EP of what he's already shown us and just move on with his life instead of jerking us hardcore fans around who are dreaming of massive epics and another 'AXL rules the world era' because sadly, his days as a rock god are over. And the minute a full length cd hits the stores, the rest of the world is gonna realize it too. And thats one of the reasons there will never be a full length cd. He would much rather have this mythical status than to have to follow up the legendary albums he did with izzy,slash and duff with a mediocre album with 3 good songs and a bunch of filler!!

I would not call 'chinese democracy' a big gun song. It was interesting only because it was the first time anyone had heard new material from GN'R. Sure The Blues and Madagascar are big gun songs. Rhiad & the Bedouins has a really good sound going for it, although it does lack lyrics and the Vegas version sounded un finished

I would consider 'chinese democracy' one of their big guns. its a rockin song, only a few minutes long, definitely has hit written all over it. It seems like Axl wanted to make a bad copy of the riff of "smell like teen spirit" mixed with a pearl jam and an industrial influence In fact I don't like how Axl sings on that one. and the guitars sound a little bit industrial, I would have prefer a more "rock n' roll" guitar sound ala Slash or joe perry. I think the whole idea for CD is to go forward and not sound like the older music. Keep in mind we`ve only heard bootlegs and not studio cuts. Also, we`ve seen these songs change and evolve  with subsequent shows. I think we are all in for a big surprise and will be blown away by CD provided it is released in my lifetime.

I completely agree with you when it comes to the smells like teen spirit comparrison. I have hopes that the studio version will be stronger but from live performances thus far I think its average at best. So weird that its the title track and its so weak in comparrison to The Blues or Maddy.

yes. but we can be optimistic because there is also a huge difference between live versions and studio versions with Axl. Take "november rain" it sounds ok live but really mind-blowing in its sudio version with orchestra and Axl's obsession of perfection. Axl is very talented to make perfect studio work. and the little intro on the Boston pomo sounds GREAT.

I think you're right, I don't mean he did that on purpose but when a friend o'mine sent me with msn messenger a guitar riff he made, I asked him "what's that man, smells like a teen spirit?
"Nooo! It's chinese d. dude!"  I like the song though, it's catchy, 3 minutes only.

My guess is that those songs was revealed only to hint the new band's musical direction-
-and intentionally was made as not single-type of songs

The other songs, single types and stuff we may get when cd is at launch,
and the whole album for the most solid productions

but i would like to hear some of the apetizers on cd
