Here Today...

« on: December 10, 2004, 04:50:50 AM »

I remember a couple of years ago(around the time of the 'democracy' tour') i read in some magazine(sorry, dont remember which one) that Sarah Mclachlan had went to the studio and worked with Axl on a few songs. Although she isnt my favorite singer, I think the two of them could do some amazing shit together. Maybe some of the 'orchestra songs' we keep hearing about will have her on it. I have never heard anyone kill the Mclachlan rumor, so maybe there is some truth to it. Does anyone know what tracks she might appear on? And does anyone else here remember hearing about this? I have searched the internet looking for info about this but always come up empty. Ahhh, the mystery surrounding this album just gets thicker by the day. And i have one more question: With so many people involved on this monumental project, how come nothing about the album ever leaks out? Hell, even the CIA has leaks!! You would think at least one person that Axl pissed off would say something about it!! Strange days indeed!!

There was a crazy rumour that Sarah Brightman was on CD but that was killed when her managers denied that she had any involvement with Guns n Roses.

Can't say I've heard anything about Sarah Mclachlan being on CD, maybe you got confused with Brightman?

She's an opera singer actually. The rumour was that she worked with Marco Beltrami on the "General". Supposedly she added some vocals. It was described as "haunting". Although this rumour was bullshit!

Richard Fortus allegedly told a fan last night that Chinese Democracy is finished and that they are just waiting for the best time to release it. Having missed the Xmas market we're probably talking about somewhere between April and June in terms of the next most profitable release periods in the music industry.

I remember this rumor.  I also remember it was false, and proven so.  I ALMOST half remember it was an April Fools thing, but there have been SO many rumors proven false, I'll admit it could be getting jumbled with another.

Although I actually like some music by Sarah McLachlan, I sure hope she will not be on CD. CD is rock, and she should stay the hell out of there.....still she's a good singer though.

Plus a blabbermouth is hardly a genuine professional.

Assuming this is true, to draw on a kick ass soprano for the back vocal would do no harm to an epic rock song or two. I'd personally prefer that than pop female backups.

I don't think this rumor is true, but Sarah Mclachlan has an amazing voice.  It would be ok with me if she made a guest appearance for backups or something.

Everyone?  I don't think Slash, Matt, Duff, Izzy, or Adler probably care too much for Axl.  The opposite is actually more likely.  Most people that work with him for an extended period of time end up probably hating Axl more often than liking him.

I think nothing has leaked because this is the biggest hoaks in music history.  There is no album to leak.

me2, not only for epics, it works great for rockers too, but not nightwishish songs, don't like that no
those singers also works as instruments you know ok It rocks peace

and orchestraed tracks don't need to be just for NR types of songs Wink

the rumour is killed then?

Dear,

Sarah McLachlan is an amazing singer !! This is something not to forget. And if there are a "few" orchestral songs on CD it is not very unlikely to think that a female voice might apeear here and there. Sarah McLachlan would be a good choice and she looks damn good too love
