On the news report on Triple M (104.9 - Sydney) regarding the shooting, they had Slash talking about his own concerns of a similar incident happening to him, specifically mentioning the possibility of someone blaming him for the break up of the original Guns N' Roses.

Full interview on 'Import Export' tonight on Triple M at 10pm.

Well the interview they did wasn't the same interview as Slash's comment on the news, it was an interview they actually did in SEPTEMBER! You can listen to it here:

http://www.mrock.com.au/shows/import/index.php

Slash does the interview from Matt's house where he and Duff are hanging out. All the same stuff you've heard before, I guess it's more for the Aussie GN'R/STP fans that don't know much about VR yet.

Summary:

- Slash reveals that Matt Sorum enjoys landscaping "he built two fuckin' ponds!"
- Talks about the origins of VR and finding a singer - mentions they have the time Scott first came to try out on video and it will be released sometime
- Talks about how Scott came into the band, and how they helped him out, in particular Duff who took him to the mountains and showed him martial arts
- Talks about how Scott is a GN'R fan
- Interviewer suggests Dirty Little Thing should be next single which gets a surprised response from Slash!

Triple M in Melbourne 105.1 interviewed Slash from Los Angeles at 11 pm tonight just over an hour and a quarter ago.

He expressed disbelief in Dimebag's shooting and said that he just realised that if someone a few years back had shot him if they thought he was the reason Guns broke up he wouldn't have seen it comming till now.

He said some of the band might feel a bit paranoid now(can't blame any famous musical group).

He was asked how Scott Weiland was and how important it was for him to be in the band and Slash described how he was at rock bottom when he started out and has turned himself around since then and is enjoying every minute of it.

What a scary and tragic event.  Dime could play with the best of them.  Got to feel horrible for his friends and family...

The whole Dimebag thing is just very scary.

I just hope all musicians protect themselves to the fullest extent and it's up to us who attend the shows if we see anything out of the ordinary to report it right away.

I was wondering if anyone from VR or GN'R would comment on this.  I saw a pic with Slash and Dimebag on this forum.

It always takes a tragedy to make people more aware.  The whole thing is just senseless. Undecided

I mentioned this in another thread, and Im suprised it didnt get a thread of its own, but Axl must have shit himself when he heard about dimebag, cos the likelyhood of it happening to him must be 100 times greater with the amount of GNR fans that blame him for the end of GNR / riots etc etc etc.

Well I guess security will be a lot tighter at future gigs, not just GN'R related.
