Which of these events is more likely to come first...

1) Axl finally gets the nerve to release Chinese Democracy and goes on tour with the new band

2) Axl gets back together with Slash, Duff and Matt and they release a new GnR album

3) We never hear from Axl Rose again, he never offers up any explanations for anything that has ever happened

Because 2 and 3 are impossible:

2 - Matt is an albatross, Slash is a liar and Duff is in the band with those two.

3 - Maybe he'll appear in the next GTA game or he'll appear at some NBA game.

Well, if thats the case, the obvious question is when??

is he retired?? what does he do all day? well, i guess he sleeps all day, but what does he do to pass his nights by, somethings gotta have his attention....maybe he really likes XBOX or PS2, or maybe he has taken up golf, or maybe he's in pilot school. we know one thing for sure, he's not working hard on CD, cuz it would have been ready to go by now. the delays n waiting with no explanations point to emotional/mental problems, in which case, we'll never see CD.

if Axl Rose only knew how much power and potential he represents......

He's probably busy listening to "Contraband" and trying to understand what the hell Weiland is singing about.

Oh, and recording stuff for computer games, looking for people to sue, writing a wishlist to Santa (who lives in Finland and not at the North Pole!) and things like that.

Come on now. Axl releasing the album and touring isn't that far-fetched. The old band will NEVER reunite. And Axl is already too involved in this project just to drop it and go hide in a cave never to be heard from again...

An album will be released eventually for one reason or another: a record company will not have put so much money into this project to release nothing, Axl will not have put in so much time and effort to release nothing.

I believe CD is finished: Tommy's words from the last interview:
[Rose] is really supportive of me and I'm totally into doing Guns N' Roses again. We made a great record together and when it comes out, I'll be the first one in line to go tour behind it.

That's a past tense...

We don't have a clue as to what is pushing the release back every time...
Legal issues? Other big releases? Finishing the other two rumoured records? ...


So number 3 is out of the question IMO.
Number 2 might happen someday but not prior to number 1 (never say never!)
