This has been my favorite track since I got the CD pretty much and I am pumped it's a single... A couple of my friends that like the CD agree.  Anyway, I fucking love the lyrics, IMO opinion they are fucking insane,

Can't stop thinkin musta been trippin this evening
My mind is racing demons and all of my feelings are numb

Yeah and when I roll with my head in the wind
And I feel like the king of the
Dead men wishin they had gotten together with you girl
But you're a dirty little liar with a message of obsession to come

You got your head in the clouds and your world's upside down
Get away from the life you're living
Get away from the man that's stealing your life
Get away from the drugs you're taking
Get away from the film of sex in your life

Can't stop drinking I'm cold kicking and bleeding
The wine is numbing feelings and all of my memories are gone

I agree the lyrics to DLT are cool. I think Scott writes some interesting lyrics, I don't know why he is so maligned on this board for them. I mean I think alot of others write better lyrics but still Scotts are pretty good in my eyes.

everything about the song rocks, the song is very good, everything flows
It does kick so much ass, it's my favorite song, the ebtire song is energy and the solo rocks, slash plays the hell out of it with speed..I do wish it was about 15 seconds longer because it keeps building up.. Hopefully they will make an video eventually and add it to their setlist..Someone should ask them why they don't play it live..

Propaply because they do Sucker Train Blues, and it sounds quite a lot like DLT.  But my opinion is that DLT is better than Sucker Train Blues. ok

scott has the ability to write the craziest lyrics.

The thing the people on this board don't seem to understand is that "different" does not mean bad or good. It just means different, that's all.

Scott is a much different song writer than Axl, lyrics-wise. I'm glad, as I have large room in my heart for both...

"I am trampled on the shoes of another man's soul cuz I walk too softly"

just an awesome lyric by Scott. I loved him ever since that line, which incidentally was the first track of their debut CD,  Grin

DLT is an awesome song, but I still prefer Sucker Train Blues.

SILVERGUN SUPERMAN
Music by R. DeLeo, D. DeLeo/Lyrics by Weiland

Find you in the dark
Read you like a cheap suprise
Without shame
Sell me out, and frame your name

I can hear when the pig whispers sweetly
Jealousy is the weapon you kill me
Keep a dime for a truth you might tell

You towed the lined, and I know it was mine
Couldn't hide, write a wave, ride a lie
Let me know, can I friend ask you why?

Rolling back the days
With my friend I love to play
The "Little One"
Superman with Silvergun

I can hear when the pig whispers sweetly
Jealous is the weapon you kill me
Keep a dime for a truth you might tell

Wait for me, take a dime take a piece of my life
Wait for me, tell a lie try to take my wife
Wait for me, take a dime take a piece of my life
Close to me and I'll you you numb

This morning while laying in bed I had 92.3 k rock on with a dj dead air dave and he came out of no where and said how good contraband was and then mentioned dlt and played it.. Nice to hear praise towards the album, then the song comes on like a fast beat house of fire.. At the end of the song he said again what it was then said he should have ended it with a yowser.. Kind of laughed..

 ok

This is one of my favorite STP songs. The guitar solo at the end is deans best in my opinion. He never gets enough credit, really good guitar player.

Ahhh....92.3 krock...the home of Howard Stern.

Not sure if you're a Stern fan or not, but dead air dave is also the guy "on the button" (the bleep button) for Stern.
