The Atlanta show was incredible.  They absolutely just tore the place up.  I love GNR but their last tour did not come close to what VR did with this audience during this show.  The audience was such a mix of ages.  The opening acts were were Keane (Sucked), Jimmy Eat World (Sucked) and Muse (which actually put on a rocking show but not close to VR).  I've taken some pictures but have not had a chance to post them.  The VR songs sounded like they did on record and Scott channed Axl on the GNR songs.  Also,  Slash fell off the stage during Headspace.  He was quickly caught by security.  He just kept on going.  They are in great shape and played real tight.  Also, as they were leaving Matt Sorum grabbed a guitar and tried a solo (not so good).
Can't wait to see them again!

Crowd must have went wacko when slash took a header..

I can't wait until vr can support their own tour entirely without using festivals n radio shows.. I don't know if I could stand around waiting for the band I really want to see, but it is a chance to let other fans hear vr, and for us to hear new bands..

Glad you had fun, and yeah the guys do look tight, I can't wait until they they eventually come back to the states..

Pictures from the Atlanta show.  I read the review from the NYC show and I can't believe that reviewer saw the same show I did.  V.R.  are the talk of Atlanta.  V.R. and Muse were definetly the highlights according to the radio today.

This show was unbelievable. For all the disrespect they seem to have gotten in New Jersey, they made it up in Atlanta. Sold Out arena going crazy, perfect sound, and people left with their mouth open. 99X was taking calls after the show, and 4 out of 4 callers said Velvet Revolver was the greatest show they had EVER seen. I've seen them twice, and Rolling Rock didn't hold a candle to this show.

Scott was great, sounded great, moved great. Totally on top of his game. So the fears from the last two concerts might just be a case of an off-night. He was as good as I've ever seen him, and I've seen him 4 times. It took an hour for VR to set up both times I've seen them, so I don't think it is an unusual delay, just a case of logistics.

Also, Muse put on a hell of a show before VR went on.

P.S.- They broke curfew by 45 mins playing the longer than usual festival set.

After the show Sunday night.  Matt Sorum was spotted at a Heavy Metal Karaoke bar singing The Ramone's "I want to be sedated".  He really wants to be a lead singer.
