Wake up fuckers

I really like the new band yes
- and they seem to break som barriers already in what a rockband traditionally should consist of

and many think it sucks that buckethead is gone and that a replacement would be weak in any case...
it's both talent and the image he brought Undecided

but what about a female guitar player, that really know how to work it Cheesy

I think it would be sooo cool to see that, and that would be better than a guy replacing buckethead
dunno why, just think soo

motley crue had samantha maloney on drums for a while and it was really cool & sounded right Cool

how would you react, if gnr showed up with a female guitarist or playin other instruments, additional vocals etc cool?

 yes or? no

I don't think anything else that can "scream" gay as much as that. Its bad enough he isnt running with the crew, but to throw a girl into the mix would not be kosher  rant

Sure it's an interesting idea.. for any other band.. but for GN'R.. would just be another reason for all the slaggers to have another go at what Axl has done to GN'R etc etc..

Depends if the female we're all talkin' about rocks or not.

Hell she could even rock more than Axl Rose, 'classic' Axl or not.

She could be vintage motherfuckin' Rock N' Roll hahaha

If people were able to accept the fact that a GNR guitarist wore a bucket in his head, they can also handle a female guitarist. Sure, there'd be a buzz (as always) but I think it would eventually tone down if the band would deliver musically. I do admit a lot would depend on her stage presence.

Interesting idea, BTW.

I could never stand Sorum. I can remember thinking when he was still "an employee" how cool it would be if they dropped him and got a kickass female drummer. In retrospect I don't think drummer would have been the right place for a girl in the original band... maybe more rhythm g. or something. But with the current band and the way there is not much premium placed on anarchy and debauchery, a girl would not be terribly out of place, even as a drummer (but not for Brain, who's awesome).

I've gotta say, I think the majority of Guns N' Roses fans are more sexist than you think. They'll be able to get their heads round the KFC bucket wearing, masked, mute, freak of nature, but not a woman in the band.

I think any fan or rock music knows that all the great rock bands have been all male and that having a woman in would just kill any chances of GNR being considered 'great'. They would lose credability.

I'm not being sexist, I don't like it, but it's just the truth of the matter.

If she was stunningly hot then maybe.....

On a more serious note - u find me a female guitarist out there worth emplying. There ain't many, and u'd really have to look hard to find one genuinely good. The chances of finding a talented one thats also stunning...well, the odds ain't good.....

Gun or rose, male or female, Come what may, I will see it through,Yay!

It?s all depends on the person.
Understanding of the spirit of this band, balls, Musicianship, patience, attitude that never fawn over anyone (but music)....are the Essentials just off the top of my head.

for example, ?
Can you imagine a tall slender beauty not tarty but sexy one, with dark straight long hair in tight black leather mini skirt, twangs killer riffs from her delicate fingers like nobody?s business? ?Even Evanescence followers shit their pants and hail her and GNR. drool

In spite of everything, There is some question that such a girl guitarist is in existence. If we must wait? Shocked another decade to see the one, well, fuck Nay! Undecided

« Reply #10 on: December 06, 2004, 11:39:18 AM »

I wouldn't mind as long as she fits the band. But do you really think Axl would hire a female to play guitar? Your smoking crack if so... I mean according to all of his ex-female companions he doesn't have much respect for women. Unless maybe she wants to piss in a litter box...? I'm totally joking by the way....

A Perfect Circle have a female member!

I think that's a bit outdated information... Paz left ages ago.

But back to the topic, I wouldn't mind at all if Gn'R would pick a hot guitar playing chick to be their third guitarist... Smiley

A female guitarist in Guns N' Roses?!?

BAH!  rant

Women's role in rock n' roll :

1) Fans
2) Groupies
3) Sometimes they make good singers (but that job is obviously already taken in GN'R)  ok

If you wanna talk like that, take it somewhere else.

_____

I don't know, I think it could work, it's just the group dynamic has always been very male oriented.  It'd be interesting to see.

I'd welcome that. It'd be interesting to shake it up a bit, but she'd have to have the right chemistry with the other guys.

Yes, it would give the New GNR haters more ammunition against the new band (a girl?! Gasp!!), but eh, why not?

I really like the idea, but I don't think even the band would like to work with a girl. I've read somebody (don't remember if ot's from GN'R or not) saying that it's better to work with people you willl never have a risk of a relationship or something like this...

Anyways, would be great to see a good-looking girl playing on GNR...
