Searching for a new guitarist!!!???

I agree, buckethead is irreplaceable, in my mind. Not because there are as skilled players out there, but the character and image he brought to the new band just cannot be matched by ron thal or whoever.

As for Thal, I talked to him for a few week strecth. He showed me the emails from PIttman. Hes not lying and hes not trying to gain publicity. Trust me when I tell you he was contacted by gnr and that he was sincere about the whole situation. Thal is a great guy!

Just kidding I think Dimebag would have been an interesting choice, he's a great guitarist, but what I remember from Thal is that GNR were looking for fairly straight laced people - you don't have to be a psycic to tell you Dimebag aint one of those!

Yes, Dimebag got killed yesterday... Shoot by one of the audience! Also Dimebag`s Brother and former Pantera drummer, Vinnie got hurt in the Gundrama!
This is a very sad da! He sure was one of the greatest guitarists of all time!

I dont have the emails anymore...and even if I did I wouldnt post them because Bummble asked me not too.

Pittman told Bumble that he has heard his work and liked it. ANd told him GNR might be interested. He asked Bumble some personal questions and they communicated by email for awhile.

Dimebag would've been an excellent choice.  May he rest in peace.  But another good choice and I know this will never happened but a good guitarist for GnR would be Tom Morello from Rage against the machine.  That would be awesome!!!!
