Maybe I'm saying shit, don't know exactly, but Amazon is listing an album called 'Use Your Illusion III' to an Ag]ugust release.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002IQA72/qid=1089497605/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/104-0860850-9899115?v=glance&s=music

If it's old really sorry, I'm not sure WFT is this.

The band name is also listed: Treephort.

Apparently they released an album called Kill Em All in 2003.  Roll Eyes

Maybe, they just like to use other artists' album titles to attract fans and gather sales.

When I followed the link, the image was no longer available.  If the above image that was posted is the one they had...watch out Treephort.  hihi

I wonder if Axl and his team of lawyers know about this?  I'm sure that if they did, they'd do something about it...they sued the company that put out the Hollywood Rose cd.  Then again, maybe they are now gun-shy since they lost that injunction/case.   Undecided    I didn't understand all of the legal mumbo jumbo from that (Hollywood Rose) case, but seems like this...  if the cover art, title, etc would confuse the consumer, they'd have a case.  (or did I totally misunderstand the court document?)

I thought someone couldn't copyright an album title.

IE how that band last year said they were gonna name their new cd CHinese Democracy since Axl stole the dreads look from them.

Taking a Title is ok, like stated before as long as your album cant be confused with the original artist that is why so many country artist have an album called "Home"

You're right, John Deacon.  Album titles can't be copyrighted.  I was talking about how similar the cover art is along with the title.    It's already confused at least one consumer (Fuckin' Gunner that started this thread).  hihi

Yeah some people cant write music, so they rip off other artist and use it as free publicity. I BET THAT BAND IS HOPING AXL SUES THEM SO THE LAWSUIT CAN AND WILL GIVE THAT SHITTY BAND FREE PUBLICITY and help sell their shitty album. Maybe if it was called UYI 3 it could be kind of funny and respectful to the artist, but to Have a very similar cover, very similar album name THATS JUST LOW.

Shame on you Assfuckers, who ever the hell the band is I wont waste 1 cent or 1 second regonising your band

I saw this CD in the store. It's hard to see on the pic here, but the guy in the backround is holding a bottle of booze.

I dont think so,  because we have not heard of anything from axl's lawyers sueing or taking some form of legal action against these people, but then again they could not give a flying rats arse
