Ok, I'm not trying to be funny as Saffron has, but I do remember not too long ago I thought in Paradise City Axl sang " Captain America is gonna fuck now" instead of " C.A's been torn apart now"
I still don't know exactly what Axl sings during the outro of Paradise City.  What does he say after "I wanna see...."  I've never been able to make that out.  Can anyone clear that up?

I believe it's " I wanna see... how good it can be"  but who knows
You know, I think you're right.  Thanks for clearing that up.

From Dead Horse: "Maybe if I looked real hard I'd see a giant too."

Twin Peaks was popular at the time, I was eleven years old, and it all made sense  Smiley
This made me crack up, hardcore.

Here's mine:

"human growth's restored" in Civil War.  Should be "human grocery store"
"Sad woman", "Sad sugar" in Patience. Should be "Said woman", "Said sugar"

i used to know a girl who had a HUGE mole on her back - the size of a nipple.  her name was elizabeth.  we used to sing "take me down to the elizabeth city where all the girls have an extra titty"   kinda off subject but worth sharing.  wonder if she ever got that thing removed....

In Welcome to the Jungle, at 1:57, I always thought Axl was saying "you got to remember what you see"
The real lyrics are "If you got a hunger for what you see"
Even after knowing the real lyrics, when I listen to the song I still hear "remember" as opposed to "hunger"

Also, I know this isn't a "misheard" lyric, but more of an ambiguous lyric:
In One in a Million, at 2:30, Axl says, "or spread some fucking disease" in reference, presumably, to AIDS.
I was never sure if he was using "Fucking" to mean "Damn" - as in it's a bad disease.
or if he was using "Fucking" literally, to mean AIDS is a fucking disease - you get it by fucking people.
If I ever met Axl, I'd ask him to clarify this.

Slash once played my Les Paul (pic to the left) & the bass used on "Better" is literally on my living room floor.

and later from my michelle ... "your daddy watches pornos now that mommys not around" lol

Shocked OH MY GOD ! Up untill I read your post I used to think those where the lyrics too !!

but  a bit different, ''your daddy's watching porno, now that mommy's not around''

and to add to the misheard lyrics ''' she used to love her high wind but now she's underground''

instead of used to lover her heroine hihi

On Pretty Tied Up, Axl says 'cool and stressing' but it sounds very much like Cool Ranch Dressing.

The liner notes say

"cool and stressing
(pronounced Cool Ranch Dressing)"

When I first listened to "Civil War" I thought that when he sings:

"And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy"

it actually was

"And in my first memories
They shot Kenny G"

....

Fun thread, this one.

I used to love her, but I had tequila.....  Grin

Instant classic!!!  Can't stop smiling about that one!!   rofl

PS: Doesn't exactly fit this thread, but in Slash's book he said the lyricks to Paradise City was at first: "Take me down to the paradise city, where the girls are pretty and they got big titties"  (sounds more like a M?tley Cr?e-song to me...)
