When I first listened to "Civil War" I thought that when he sings:

"And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy"

it actually was

"And in my first memories
They shot Kenny G"

....

Fun thread, this one.

I thought that it was kennedy, it sounds better though

it is kennedy

That's why he never fell for Vietnam.  peace

Kick'n back in the shadows...

« Reply #82 on: July 29, 2008, 04:44:22 PM »

"I see your sister in a sunday dress . ....................................................".

What does Axl say after "dress" in "It's So Easy"  I have always been singing "you got the needs to try your best".  I know that isn't it.

Any help?

I see your sister in her Sunday dress
She's out to please
She pouts her best
She's out to take
No need to try
She's ready to make

Really?? I thought it was "She's ready to mate"  ... all these years

How about "to be a robber takes me back to the start" instead of "turn me around & take me back to the start" from PC...

When I look around,Everybody always brings me down
i used to sing: when i look around a little money always bring me down

Garden of Eden

at the very beginning if I used to think i heard "It's a credit card solution"

as opposed to "It's a critical solution..."
hihi

"Take me down to the very last city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty"

"Feeling like I just walked through my shit" in IRS instead of "Feeling like I've done more than my share"

"She's ready to mate" instead of "She's ready to make" in It's So Easy

I thought it was "Tongue-like eraser" too.

I've just discovered one that this thread made me check and low and behold I've been mishearing the lyric up until now.  hihi

I'd be really surprised if no one else has been thinking this lyric is what I thought it was as well, we will see.

I have been thinking for the last few years that the line in Yesterdays goes like this.

Grand in my pocket, and no hand in destiny.

When it's actually

Prayers in my pocket, and no hand in destiny.

 hihi

From Dead Horse: "Maybe if I looked real hard I'd see a giant too."

Twin Peaks was popular at the time, I was eleven years old, and it all made sense  Smiley
