So was the long delay that, they changed the focus of the show?  Initially, I thought it was about Slash and co. auditioning singers and hijinks ensue.  Now, it seems to be about VR after it was formed.

I thought it would have been more about the auditioning of Josh Todd and Sebastian Bach etc. But I guess it will only be an hour long and mostly about stuff we already know. Such as, the arrest and such.

I'm just psyched its really coming out this time. I doubt they would postpone it so soon to the air date. But then again........they postponed the shit out of this thing.

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- VELVET REVOLVER -- with one of rock's
most charismatic front men Scott Weiland (formerly of Stone Temple Pilots),
guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Matt Sorum (former members of
one of rock's greatest groups Guns N' Roses), and guitarist Dave Kushner (ex-
Wasted Youth, Electric Love Hogs) -- have truly exploded this year.  Their
debut album Contraband (RCA), which entered the Billboard album chart at #1,
quickly achieved platinum status -- spurred by two #1 rock singles "Slither"
and "Fall To Pieces" -- and earned the distinction of becoming the biggest-
selling rock album to be released in 2004.  But the group's back story is one
of the most interesting in all of rock, as viewers will get to see in VH1's
newest installment of its "(Inside)OUT" series, "(Inside)OUT: The Rise of
Velvet Revolver," premieres on Wednesday, December 1 at 9:00 pm ET/PT*.
The special documents the ups and downs of Velvet Revolver for over one
year:  from the applicant screenings in their initial search for a lead singer
to the video shoot of their first single "Slither."  Viewers will experience
their first live performance and hear intimate interviews with the band
members.
After eight months of not finding a worthy front man, the group is running
out of time and patience.  When Scott Weiland of the Stone Temple Pilots
rehearses, they instantly know that they have found their guy! But just when
they are about to kick their musical engine into full throttle, they hit a
speed bump when Scott is arrested.  Instead of giving up on the singer that
solidified their vision, the group bands together, remaining loyal to their
friend and band mate, determined to stick together.

     * All times ET/PT

and earned the distinction of becoming the biggest-
selling rock album to be released in 2004.

Unfortunately, that changes tomorrow.  U2 have done incredibly well with the new album, pushing possibly over a million copies in one week.

Cant wait to see this special...Its really about time.  It was beginning to look like the Chinese Democracy of televised music specials.  yes

They sounded great at the elrey, the best was them being night after the gig, I love how duff took scott under his wing..

You can also tell by listening that they have alot of riffs n music that needs lyrics to be added..

lol me too!

It was a pretty cool show for those that missed it. The beginning was especially cool about their quest to find a singer. I kinda felt bad for them because it things werent going anywhere for them in terms of getting a singer and it began to wear on the band. I think the hsow captured that and it was cool. Without a doubt Scott is the best they coul dhave gotten, outside of Axl...he has a cool energy and presence. I just wish he picks up his lyric game on the next album.

I kept picturing Axl walking into the room as a surprise and just pop up and start singing with them. Soemthing liek that would need to get on tape....anyways

cool show
