Thanks.  In all honesty, though, after seeing them live in Chicago on Sunday, this is not nearly as big a deal as it was when they performed on Letterman for the first time in May.  I was so pumped for that!  That was the result of being a Gn'r fan for two years Smiley.

You think they're gonna do "Fall To Pieces" again?

Isn't it time to play the next single soon?  Cool

Damn, I was hoping for STB ...

Being there is no video and it's just a radio single I think they are sticking witht ehir single which is on sale and has a video done, plus it's on the charts as we speak wether video countdowns or mainstream, or modern rock charts.. WHen a group has a single tehy usually will play it for at least a bunch of months, it's very typical..

I think we get anxious because we get alot of music from vr, but we should let the songs run their course, not eevryone is like vr fans hearing it 24-7.

Whenever they do another single involving a video it will be the next song played on shows..

Why would a video be essential in determining whether or not a single (or soon to be single) would be the "next song played on shows"?

That in mind, I really don't expect anything more than performance footage to accompany the STB single,
if that at all..

« Reply #11 on: November 25, 2004, 01:42:17 AM »

it was an ok performance: i agree though that Slash looked and sounded great. Scott has me worried because he didn't sound strong; coupled with his comments to EW, I believe the tour isn't agreeing with him.

Overall a nice performance, wish they'd shown all of Sucker Train, but at least they showed some of it.  I think STB is definitely going to be the best single yet ... "Mother Bitches" was a bit of a stretch, however ... made me chuckle.   hihi

it sounded all stripped down...

Well because it was  Grin ...  equipment wise.   They should have just played the Raw sounding STB's...   all they had to do was turn it up to sound good.......  & it did.  FTP was so very off compared to there live shows where equipment is set.

I managed to catch it on Australian cable tv last night, the band sounded pretty tight on FTP and STB, shame they cut Sucker train though, they were really rocking on that!

The Conan episode aired yesterday here, and it was amazing.. That really is a band enjoy watching live. Dave and Duff were left in the background by the director, but since Slash was the reason I watched it, it didn't really matter.

I really hope to see more pro shot live material from the band in the future.
