Who Would You Believe?

Fellow Gunners,
Since we have little to chew on these days and all of the mails end up being 'he said, she said' slap fests I have a question:
Who would be the source you would definately trust with the truth if they were given the job of telling the world the real truth about GNR past & present?
Is there a documentary maker, author, journo etc out there that could actually unravel the story for us?
People butcher each other in here using Axls word as bible or Slashs word as bible and I'm positive each side has their own story but it's not really the one we all want to hear. There must be 1000s of hours of footage lying around of the band unseen by fans ( I believe a documantary about the UYI tour was planned but got canned...?)
Will we ever know the full truth?
By the way, any word on the court case?
Peace,

I wouldn't trust anyone outside the band, except maybe Del James. He's been around them forever and he probably knows the whole deal.

But Del would be called a liar by the many ex-Gunner fans since, as far as I know, he's still Axl's friend....
I hope his GN'R biography gets released one day.

I probably would trust Del James to write tell as closely to the truth as we would ever be able to receive.
In absence of that... I would probably like to listen to several people (Axl, Duff, Dizzy, Slash) and figure out a truth somewhere in the middle of both sides, and accept that as what really happened.
Then again, I don't have to know what really happened. Sure it would make a great read, and I'm curious too, but I don't have to know.

Oliver Stone.
He's the only man that could do justice to this machiavellian mess.

Takashi Tachibana ?an all-round Journalist
Otherwise, Like Tied-Up, I?m not really into old gossips they don?t want to tell others.
I like reading their speeches of the past on this site. They're interesting n good read.
I refer to them to figure their mind-set of today.
I'm more curious to know their present and future.
So, I'd believe current members.
Anyway, no matter what n how many one reads n sees, ones comprehension matters.
And how far one can be objective.

We've heard stories from alot of "ex's". I'd like to hear Axl's side of everything. Not sticking my nose into his personal feelings and buisness but mainly his point of view.
It's been said many times here before, but an autobiography of both sides Axl(& William) would be very interesting to read.

I trust axl himself.
If he decided to take as much time as he needed and wrote an autobiography ( either alone or with the help of a writer).
I don't think it's a good idea to ask axl to speak before people, but there is no anger facing a piece of paper but his own ( eventually).
Therefore, he could say all he has always wanted to say ( in the most diplomatic of ways if talking about people who could sue him for that) and have no one censuring his thoughts or no one pissing him off in the process.
I do not trust journalists for they have chosen an extremely hard job and usually are too ambitious for people's good. Plus, they cut text to go in the direction they want to take with interviews or cut people talking when filming, it's extremely dodgy.
I do not think Del James is a good idea. To be extremely honest, i think he isn't a very good writer ( at least, not without you, not enough fluidity, too much repeating of words and links missing). Plus, he wouldn't have enough neutrality concerning axl rose.
I do think that someone who doesn't know axl personally should take this task or axl himself.
I do not think that authors like Andrew Morton ( princess diana, Madonna, MJ,.....) are good either, because they create too much of a scandal around them.
But however, the best way to say what you have to say is to say it yourself and a book is A solution. Plus, it would be a hit ( most probably, due to lacking in news for past decade).
So money would also be coming in for axl.
Now, recommendation :
If axl has problems with Universal, and should he want a book, be extremely careful that he didn't choose publishing linked to vivendi or universal in one way or another AND, it's probably best to write it as " bill bailey, my life as a rock and roll frontman" instead of axl rose ( in case name axl rose belung to Record company becaude money would go to them and not him )....
Hope my english made sense, it's a bit late here and i'm tired tonight.

i never knew whom to believe... Slash/Duf/Matt or Axl. When people say Del James would be very objective and to the point with the GNR story, means who is to blame or whatever somethings is always coming to my mind:
Would he stay with Axl if Axl was the dick a lot of people say?
Maybe Del James is just a nother yes-man??? I really don't know....

up until 1991, it would have to be Izzy - seemes the most down to earth and balanced. From then on it would be difficult - perhaps an insider of some kind or even a non-biased current member?
