I don't think you're the only one D. But myself, I would like to see the original five together again. Even if it was just a quick jam or something.

I don't understand how anyone wouldn't love to see the old lineup get together for a show or something and jam on something like Welcome to the Jungle. Seeing slash play that song again would be something I would definitely pay money to see.

I'm willing to see what "the new" gnr and axl can achieve, but i'd love to see a reunion happen, not just a reunion tour, but a long term one.

I say get the original line up back together. If it is taking Axl this long to put an album together, maybe he isn't as 'genius' as everyone thinks he is. It doesn't take the better part of a decade to put out an album with 15 or so tracks on it. So maybe the old line up wasn't holding him back, as much as they were holding him in check. Some poeple just get to creative and bury themselves in so many ideas that they are unable to sort thru them and end up drowning. I'm sure Izzy and comapny were able to contain him and get the best out of him.

How has whats been happening for the last 5-6 years better than the original band? They haven't given us an album, they gave us a botched tour, and the lineup is in constant question.

Judging by Slash's post GNR work, i no longer consider him any great loss to the GNR camp - while a GNR reunion would be intresting at this stage a new album by the current line up is preferable.

No you are not the only one....

A reunion at this point would be for money purposes only and the only person who may be having money issues at this point is Axl...

No reunion desired Lips Sealed

Personally I'm itching too see what Axl comes up with. If its as good as everyone says it is, then I don't think we'll be needing a re-union. If it doesn't meet expectations, then, yes, I hope we get a re-union!

I SO hope there is some kind of announcement this month!

I just went to the VR concert in Cincy last night, and saw Axl's and when he was out on tour, and all I can say is that a reunion is totally necessary. While I totally loved both concerts, all I could find myself doing was dreaming about what it would be like to here the opening cords to Jungle, and see Slash on the other end. Or to here Sweet Child, with Axl screaming over Axl's guitar. Such a moment would be electric, and while each band is good and I love them.....neither will ever capture the magic that occured between Axl and the original guys when the stars were aligned and they were motivated.

I want to hear the New record bad, but even if he releases the mozart of rock n roll albums it will never recapture the live feeling of seeing Slash on the other end of an Axl scream. I hope that each band does what they're going to do and let it runs its course, and then get back together for one final run. I think fans are craving it, looking at how well the original bands material is still doing....there is definitely a market for them to do so.

I wouldnt like a reunion just for money, with the band all hating Axl or hating  in any way.Yhe only reunion I would like to see is Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven sitting on a conference table and saying:Akright, we?ve finally talked and  we have forgive each other, were comming back!
But for the moment I dont see that happending so I?ll rather wait for Axl to get CD out now!!!

It means you are only an average music listener, who can't judge the quality of music, only the quality of vocals and lyrics. Sad.

I have read numerous times from Slash and Duff that they have been offered millions to due a reunion tour but said they would never do it for the money. Plus they have to get Axl and Izzy on board and I don't see that happening anytime soon. We all know Steven would do it but honestly I don't think he could play a lot of Sorums parts.

As for missing the old G n' R, well as far as I'm concerned there is only one G n' R .  If Axl's present circus act was his band back in 1886 we wouldn't be here talking about him today.

It's obvious so far D that slash said they have been offered good money and would only have a reunion of some kind if there's mutual respect.. Regardless I would like to see axl n slash do a record or tour like page n plant did..

Nothing is truly the same when  you reunite (excpet maybe aerosmith) but I'd love to see the afd gnr one more time, not for money but because they wanted it..

I don't want the old GNR to get back together since I've heard that Duff,Slash and Matt were against songs like NR or Estranged. I say fuck that!

Have you ever done a lot of money doing something you hate, for the sake of family stability or social recgonition or what ever?
It makes you feel like shit and not very fun to be around. In the end it doesn't work for anybody.
Would i love to see the old line up?
YES, back in the day when they were playing together because it meant something to them and you could feel the vibe.
I would lose respect for them if they played like going to a 9 to 5 job, you would listen to the songs reminiscing on time long gone and the band would be listening to the cash registrator.
Artistic integraty is something i admire and it's so rare to find this days.
I realy admire Axl/Slash for not going the easier path and keep "beating the dead horse" to cash in and try to do something new with their lifes and talent.

I saw them at their best in '87 and at  their worst in '92.

No need to see it again.

But what if they wrote new songs, and put on like a couple show tour? Sorum wrote the music for Set Me Free and thats like the perfect sound for GNR. Axl would of been wise to keep Sorum around. Now he has Brain (I dont like the old music, i just want Axl's paychecks) who probably contributes very little besides maybe percussion beats.

I'm not interested in seeing the old line up again.  I saw them several times, and it was great then, but its done now.  They've moved on and so have I.  Anyway, when I look at the writing credits, it seems the songs I like the best were primarily done by Axl.  So I'm perfectly happy to see what the new gnr can do.
