I just heard a sneak preview of the new single and it is not that great.  I have loved everything Axl has done but I not a fan of this garbage.

Sorry, but the new music just does not turn me on.  It's just my opinion.  I really did get to listen to it though.  I am not at liberty to give out the name for legal reasons, as I'm sure you will understand.

Benefit of the doubt: What sort of music was it? What was his voice like? Hard/soft? Solo's? Good lyrics? Industrial? Techno?

It sounded like when a garbage truck is compacting a couple of metal cans and a dwarf is in one of them.  Interesting, but in the end your just waiting for the compactor to complete the job.  Hope this helps!

Just yesterday I got into a long argument(?) with someone at work where he said he heard the new guns n roses album and it sucked.  I said, no you didn't, its not out.  He said yes he did.  This went on for several minutes with him tellling me its getting crappy reviews, etc.   I finally said, wait a second, do you mean velvet relvover?  And he said, oh yeah, that's it.  Isn't that guns n roses?  So there you go, some people make honest mistakes, they just aren't that bright.   I don't know if that's the case with the person who started this thread, but its a possibility.

You're right, probably, but what are you gonna do?

Personally I don't play the "he's just a newbie" game until i have reason enough to dismiss them. Even this one. I really wanted to know if it was classical.

I dismissed it after the paragraph in which he described what he heard.
