U2 and Oasis are 2 bands i never liked except for a few songs.  But they are from the UK and im american so maybe i dont understand their concept of music or something. Pearl Jam's another band i didnt like much. In the late 90's i started respecting them for lasting awhile, but hearing the more recent music changed my mind again pretty fast.

That said, i would still listen to any of these bands on the radio. I just never bought the cd's or want to download any  songs.

I love all kinds of music, and there's not many bands that I can't get into. However, I could never get interested in Nirvana or Pearl Jam. I don't know why, because they're awesome! I like similar bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains, and STP. But, something about Nirvana and Pearl Jam, they just don't click with me. All apologies.

Yeah U2 is somehow.. tasteless. Bland. Too stale for me. The same goes for The Beatles & The Rolling Stones.

I sort of like Eddie Vedder's voice, but for some reason I've never really got into Pearl Jam either.

The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Nine Inch Nails - think they are utter shite
Rolling Stones

I don't like U2's '90's stuff - so bland, but loved their 80's efforts, some of my absolute favourite music

Cool topic.  With the exception of a couple of songs, I have never been able to get into Pink Floyd.  My girlfriend loves them and tried to get me to watch "The Wall" with her.  I couldn't make it past 20 minutes.

The Stones.  They might've been good in their day but they sound so 'old'
The Beatles are the same, they're just a bit plain (that rhymes!)
Nirvana cos they're overrated and shit
T-Rex, can't see what all the fuss is about
Queen, I do rate queen but it's all a bit cheesy.  Metal for mums
Meat Loaf - doesn't rock

Izzy - how can you not get into Led Zeppelin?HuhHuh??  That's a very strange concept.  I don't get too excited about Sabbath although I can understand that they've made some (not always) great rock.

a lot of the progressive classic rock bands and the "avante garde" ones. those who took themselves too seriously. frank zappa, rush, styx, pink floyd, the beatles... yechk. never.

I like straight up rock n' roll, no matter how sloppy it may be. that's why I listen to a lot of the Stones.. it may have been garageasfuck but it had a lot of soul and it was real.

Izzy - how can you not get into Led Zeppelin?HuhHuhHuh?

There okay and have done some good songs - Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love are class and i don't dislike them and own a bit of their stuff - but i can't relate to people who claim they are amazing - they are good, but nothing more, Robert Plant doesn't convince.

I don't understand why people are putting Nirvana as a 'greatest' and 'classic' band.

They're shit!

Or were shit.

This thread is hurting my soul!? A lot of my favorite bands have been listed: The Who, The Beatles, Radiohead, Oasis, Pink Floyd, Rush, Frank Zappa, T-Rex...damn i love all of these bands.

However, i will agree with a few...The Stones, they're okay...i have Made in the Shade, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Sucking in the 70's and Their Satanic Majesties Request but they still don't do much for me.? Also, Led Zep i think are highly overated.? lots of boring songs and Plant's voice blows.? U2 and Pearl Jam...boring, conventional, not cool, don't like em.

edit:Lemme add some more...
Iron Maiden..gimme a break! I gave these guys a three album chance and all they came up with was cheese! i think they suck..and i like metal by the way....Gimme Pantera or Priest though.

This is for D....Prince and Bon Jovi, not once have they ever done anything which has seemed the least bit cool or even interesting to me.

Please don't call The Rolling Stones Music sloppy/garage rock, It makes your post sound ignorant.? Listen to Bagger's Banquet and let me know if you still feel the same way. As for The Beatles, watch Yellow Submarine.

maybe I have listened to BB and I know what is in their repertoire.. I was just making a generalization. and no, I'm not going to watch fucking Yellow Submarine.

Most of 80?s American rock bands.
Kinks, The Who. Queen,
Early Bono, I do like music of U2, esp Edge, but I don?t like Bono's singing.

I'm not saying they're bad. Just a matter of taste.

Well I think Beatles are shit and Pink Floyd, has a few songs  that are, like, national anthems (like Mother or Wish You Were Hear) and then there are thowsands of songs wich are spacy noises that make you feel like you?ve smoked weed.
